RIGHT DIVISION, WRONG SQUAD?

If i were to pick a team since the minus 15 season i would probably go for:

Lonergan
Connolly Kisnorbo Lees White
Snodgrass Delph Howson Gradel
Beckford Becchio

subs: Kasper, Naylor, Johnson, Clayton, McCormack

Pretty worrying that only the 2 keepers, Connolly (average), Lees (youth), Clayton (bench) and McCormack who would probably be on the bench in league 1 have progressed us.

you'd have lonergan > kasper? now that's crazy talk. go wash your mouch.

Yes it just shows how sg Messed up the team.

If we had a League One squad we be going back down cos no League One squad would stop up at this level.

And having Lonergan over kasper is madness.

I think that we are making steady progress in the championship with the squad we have, yes I know we have had some bad results at home since we got promoted from league 1 a few new faces and decent players added to the squad for next season and I think we will win promotion next season

People will argue how Kasper I'd better than Lonners but forget how many clangers he makes.

The fact is 2 years later out if that team I would only have the front 8 players, all of the back 4 either were never good enough or have deteriorated with age, the problem we are seeing now is the terrible signings Grayson made in our defence...

Obrian needs to come back quickly and hopefully Lees when partnered with a more competent defender will improve.

if we have such a bad squad then why are most of our players being linked with top clubs or clubs from the prem? & don't give me the agents touting rubbish

Said all along the side that won at OT was better than this seasons.

Kisnorbo and Naylor partnered together were fantastic, as both players were so committed and both knew how to defend.

The problem we are making for ourselves is we are losing top players going to better football teams, but for less than their actual value. Howson went to the prem for a reduced fee, Gradel went for a reduced fee and the likes of Johnson, Kilkenny and Beckford all left on frees and were probably all on low wages so we're not actually saving anything to give to the replacement in terms of wages.
