Beginning to wonder if it would not help matters, and the constant media
comments, (see latest re Real Madrid), if Van Persie was to make up him
mind just what he intends to do vs a vs his contract.
Surely it cannot be that hard to decide if you are going to ask for
heaps more money, which I would gladly give him, or move on. If not careful we are going to end up the way we did with Fabregas and that idiot Nasri.
Van Persie

I think whichever one out of Barca and Real doesn't get Neymar will try and get Van Persie.

Yea I'm just saying that he never came out and told the world he wanted to leave, or disrespected us in any way (to the public anyway). Even played against Liverpool so when he left, City had to pay us top dollar.

If RvP came out now and said he wanted to leave it will have a massive negative effect.
For a start it will open the floodgates for teams to tap him up at every opportunity. This will be a major distraction for RvP and the team.
How can a captain of a team openly expressing his intent to leave be good for morale?
Best all round if it is kept til the summer now, we are only 6 weeks away from the end of the season why suddenly upset everything when it is going well?

With Nasri, Wenger was prepared to hold on to him and let him go for nothing if a big fee wasn't recieved.
The Champions League play-off was a massive factor, City had to show their hand before Nasri was cup-tied.

He came out after he signed for City and said the only reason he played that match was to get in the groove for city.
"I wanted to play," Nasri said. "The last game I had was with the national team.
"When I saw the deal was still in discussion, I said to Arsene I wanted to play because I need competition.

The reason he played was because he was an Arsenal player and Wenger picked him!!!
He talks a lot of rubbish does Samir. As if Arsene would pick him for a game to get him fit for another team!!

Doesn't matter why wenger picked him. The only reason he played was to get ready for city, had nothing to do with getting more money for arsenal.
and you know wenger. all nasri had to say was that he he wasn't mentally right and wenger would've left him out of the squad.

Basically at the end of the day, Nasri had his first above average season with us and he left. The guy is a and nothing anyone can say will change my mind.

My reason for my article, was that I dread having the same situation as we did with Fab. and Nasri. Yes know only six weeks to go, then what, wait until the week before new season starts to find that we are going to have to start chasing players, (by then most of good ones will have gone).
He, Persie, does not have to shout from roof top what he is going to do, but a quite word in AW ear, and a few well chosen words to the teams that try to unsettle players they want (Real and Barca, to name just two).
By the way have you noticed that since I said what a great Manager Valencia have, he has not managed to win a game, in fact lost to Getafe, and even Wolves could beat them.
