Wigan gave their survival hopes a massive boost with a first-ever win at Anfield as Liverpool's desperate run of league form continued.
Shaun Maloney fired the visitors ahead from the
spot but his goal was cancelled out by Luis Suarez, finishing crisply from Steven Gerrard's pass.
The Uruguayan had a goal disallowed for handball before Gary Caldwell stunned the home crowd with a neat finish.
The defeat was Liverpool's fifth in their last six
Premier League games. The scoreline, and alarmingly flat performance, will increase the pressure on manager Kenny Dalglish, who has constantly insisted that the club are making progress this season.
For Wigan and their manager Roberto Martinez, the victory was crucial to their chances of beating the drop, taking them level on points with 18th-placed QPR, within one point of safety.

What I'd love to ask Kenny:
Why did you leave the substitutions until so late?
Was 1 up front really the way to play against 3 centre backs?
Would you like me to hail you a taxi?

Not much point though, he'd just say something about terrific passing and how he's delighted with our useless players then walk off.

Cheers Jenners. Don't know if you guys noticed that I stopped updating the thread a while. I'll do it know for the sake of presentation, just couldn't bring myself to do it earlier.

I don't blame you culty, I turned the stream off after that second Wigan goal, the effort from some of the team just seemed so pathetic.

Back 2 back losses against teams fighting relegation, we're becoming an easy 3 pounts for them, the next couple of teams in the relegation mire will licking their lips at the prospect of facing us.

@The Verbal Jouster
It was just poor, really poor. Remember when the defense against the problem of not being able to finish chances was that the rest of the play is good so its nearly there? That good play just vanished, hopefully it'll return soon but god it was poor today.
