For ever doubting you.
Arsenal just wouldn't be the same without him
Dear Arsene, we are sorry.

I can't take this mini-revival of yours seriously, if you want to appease me and make me think your manager deserves to remain so then beat city at the emirates. Thanx in advance.

I don't think many Arsenal fans are too bothered about appeasing you.

I hope we give appeasing a chance. <tenuouslyricallinksmiley>

Jenius, I don't think we need to do much this summer, bring one decent midfielder in perhaps and maybe a second goalkeeper. That's about it.
---------------------------
I agree with you. One top class creative midfield player.
The rest are replacements, Podolski for Arshavin, Someone for Chamakh/Park, a backup keeper for Fabianski/Mannone. And new contracts for RVP, Theo and Song.
However the creative midfield player has to be on the level of Cesc. And this makes me even more angry. Arsene knew this. He isn't stupid. Arsene is a ditherer because he doesn't push the board enough.
If we had bought Mata to replace Cesc?
And I still think it is random speculation to say we would be challenging for the title had Ramsey been dropped earlier, who knows what would for happened.
----------------------------------------------
I don't think even the most ardent backers of Ramsey can dispute this now. Even today the drop in intensity was obvious after the 65min.
The difference in our gameplay, speed of passing, thought and movement is the difference of one player! Just like it used to be with Denilson. Not Verm, not Kos., not even injured full-backs. Our defensive problems were solved pretty much by the Chelsea away game. Mert had settled to add some experience when Verm was injured.
Its one move. Dropping Ramsey and playing Rosicky in the Cesc position. Thats why our wingers have looked great.Building confidence. Thats why their form has started turning around. I would even speculate that Arshavin would be still at the club if Arsene had seen it earlier.

I said at the beginning of the season that if Wenger manages to get us top 4, it'll prove to me that he's still got it, and it'll also be one of his greatest achievements.
Just because everyone expects us to finish 4th (or higher) now, doesn't make it any less of an achievement. You have to give him credit for getting us into the position where everybody expects us to finish in the CL spot.
Wenger ftw.

Look at major league baseball.
------------------------------
MLB is not a good example. Its very dependent on individual performances for a team effect. More akin to cricket.
To understand why Ramsey has such a negative effect is to understand how 'tippy/tappy' works. Barca are the only team that play in a similar style as us. Both Barca and Arsenal are wholly dependent on movement of the ball in central midfield. Without it, it wouldn't matter if they had Messi. Just like Messi is far less dangerous when he plays for Argentina. The central midfield players have to be top class. Capable of serious spatial awareness, movement and unselfish play. The rest builds on itself in a positive cycle.
I had pages of discussions when I use to say that main reason why we use to fail in last few years was because of Denilson. Its the same issue. Guardiola actually understands this. Thats why he couldn't believe Wilshere's qualities last year. Because up till now its only been produced by the Barca academy.
Arsene was aware of this issue in the summer. Thats why we made an approach for Mata.

As a neutral supporter whilst I agree Arsene Wenger has pulled your team back from the brink again, overall another very poor season has been masked by a few results when there is absolutely no pressure on.
Surely you supporters cannot be happy with another season without a trophy.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
In a normal season I'd agree with you, but I actually think Arsenal have done really well this season. 2011/12 was never going to be a season of Arsenal winning trophies, not after losing a player like Cesc Fabregas, I cannot oversate how important he was to us. After the traumas of last summer, this season was always going to be about consolidation and staying in a top 4 which most pundits ruled us out of at the start of the season. From that point of view, it has thus far been an extremely successful season. With strengthening in the summer, hopefully Arsenal will have a better chance of challenging for silverware next season.
