After the recent events of the past week I'd just like to point out an article I read in the BelfastTelegraph yesterday(friday) regarding Glentoran legend Chris Walker, for many of us who follow the Irish League will remember the very sad passing of Chris's young 2 year old son Jaxon last year,in fact today was the 1 year anniversary of this tragic death,I dont mind telling you that on reading his very open interview it brought tears to my eyes, as a father of a 2 year old myself with another due any day I cant imagine or ever want to go through what Chris & his family went through,I suppose the meaning of this post is just a way of saying that football isnt really that important when you remind yourself of these tragic events.....Keep your head up Big Chris my thoughts are with you at this sad time

There are legends and then there is Chris Walker. If we only had a few others with a fraction of the heart that guy has at The Oval these days, we wouldn't be in the state we are. A calibre of a man I doubt we'll see the likes of again, a dying breed in local football unfortunately. My heart goes out to him.

Must still be going through hell and my heart goes out to both parents
Chris is one of the nicest guys you would ever meet.
He used to give me dogs abuse when he done his window cleaning round at my work. Could take it as well as dish it out.
All good natured and a true football man.
