I think Ozzy Osbourne should get the job. His full time interviews would be amazing. Better than watching England anyway.
"So Ozzy, what do you think went wrong in the match" said Motson,
" I dont ******* know do I, they are all ****, i can ******* play better than ******* that after 2 ******* tons of ******** coke and a ********* bottle of ******* brandy. ******* useless the ******* lot of them ******* ****, they sould **** off. They ******* lost and thats ******* that for ***** sake".Ozzy replied

Miles, you mis spelt 'should' I'm knocking you down a mark!
Oojw, are you effin serious? The England job is about motivating players and setting tactics to win qualifiers and tournaments. Wenger, nooooooo!

"If Redknapp told me it was Monday I would check the calendar!!!"
Dodgy car-salesman aside he's still my first choice...
I'd have to second your thinking as to Hoddle- on an interim basis at least. His England record is not to be sniffed at, though whether years out of the game would be to his detriment is another issue.
Just a pity he's a bit of a nutcase!

Whatever makes you think that?
Having said that, Wenger as a long term planner might have merit, developing players, working to budgets etc. In a purely results business though, as the England job is, I think he'd be dreadful!

It is high time a longer term approach was taken. Whatever we have been doing this last 20 years has clearly not worked has it! If you want something to change, then you need to make some changes.
For far too long we have picked players on reputation, not form and been far too scared to play and develope younger players. Wenger would not be frightened of playing kids and would not be frightened of our media or the powers that be either. I think he would be perfect for the job, but the FA would never be able to prise him away anyway as Arsenal know which side their bread is buttered.

I agree to an extent, unfortunately though the England manager only manages the England team. The FA'll association talk of root and branch change but it's bull.
Every level of football in this country is ridiculously competitive teaching win at all costs rather than skill. Not sure the England manager can change that...

good call, Wenger might be able to do for the English game what Cruyff did for Barcelona and Spain.
