This is sure to be an emotional fixture given the events of the first game. The Spurs fans were brilliant on the night and there is no question the clubs seem to have grown a bond after the shared experience of that last tie. I should imagine it will have one of the nicest atmosphere's of any football game.
This game will be tough, and the draw at Wembley equally so. We have a 6 pointer against Wolves come Saturday and a very winnable against Villa following that. Coyle has confirmed and I agree that players will be rested. I'm not certain if there will be sweeping changes or just a few as last time but I suspect the former.
No word yet on Gregg Wylde gaining clearance yet so barring a last minute decision, we are still without him. The rezzies play Wolves tonight so I would wager any normal faces in that squad missing will be with the first team. My bets being Vela and RIley. Unfortunately still no call up for Blakeman though as he has said on twitter he's at the Wolves game. Top scorer & assists for rezzies as well as being captain, seems odd.
My Squad:
--------------------------------------Jussi
Riley-------------Boyata----------------------Knight--------------Alonso
Eagles-----------Vela------------NRC---------Pratley----------Petrov
---------------------------------------SKD
Subs:
Bogdan
Ream
Steinsson
Mavies (Really think he and Ryo should be fresh for Wolves.)
Ryo
Klasnic
Ngog
Squad for Spurs

Klasnic has done more to warrant a start than SKD imo.

Agree...Klas does well in cup games

Id have Klasnic over Davies only because its the better of two evils.
If only Sordell wasnt cup tied.

The rezzie team for tonight:
BWFC Res: Lynch, Mears, McQuade, Eckersley, Kellett, Caton, Connolly, Blakeman, Riley, Eaves, Odelusi
First thing is Mears is back. With any luck he'll suffer no more set backs and be challenging for RB soon enough.
Second thing is no Vela. Would expect him in the squad tomorrow.

Disappointed that Connolly turned down the chance to gain more first team experience at Macclesfield and decided to return from loan rather than continue his spell.
I was a bit curious about this and had a look at a Macclesfield forum. The only possible explanation I read is that he was involved in an incident where he was getting some abuse from Macc fans and swore at them. Could be complete nonsense though. Wish he had stayed on. He will learn more in league two than playing Wolves reserves in front of one man and his dog at Telford.

Didn't know he had turned down the chance for a longer loan LH? I just assumed we didn't want to extend it with him being able to play midfield and Muamba out.
From what little I heard he was doing all right. A marked improvements in the clubs results from his first game. As you say, it would of been much better for him to stay there rather than playing rezzie football again.
Don't know if he'll be here for much longer. His contract is up come the end of the season I do believe. I get why we haven't renegotiated the big name contracts but young players seem to have been the exception; Vela, O'Halloran. It would seem he might not be in the plans which seems strange.

Well he scored the first goal tonight in a 2-0 win at Wolves reserves, on 81 minutes.
The official Macclesfield website says that Connolly "opted to return to his parent club". Which suggests they wanted to keep him, and it was his decision not to stay on.
No idea when his contract ends though, I -think- it might be one of those ones which isn't in the public domain.

I think we simply have to prioritise the league. Win at weekend, and Wolves are in massive trouble. Rest the key players for weekend. Therefore, my team is:
Bogdan; Riley, Boyata, Knight, Alonso; Sordell, Tuncay, Pratley, NRC, Eagles; Klasnic.
Pretty sure it won't be anything like that, though. Obvious problem with my team is Sordell and one of Tuncay and Eagles on the wing, with the other in behind Klas - so players out of position. As I said, though, I'm much more worried about Saturday.
I imagine Mavies and Ryo will start in a better balanced team, however. In response to other comments/teams:
I think Bogdan needs to start - 'Keepers don't need a rest and with him seemingly coming through as our new number one, I think he must start every game possible.
Klas deserves to start over SKD for me.
COYWM!

Sutty,
Unfortunately Sordell is cup tied.

Ah, indeed. Would've been nice to give him some game time. I'd be tempted to replace him with SKD in that team, then, and go 4-4-2. We look much better when we play 4-5-1, but I'd go to such measures to avoid playing our key men and to ensure they're fresh on Saturday.
