great win yesterday for the champs, just watched the highlights and one wee thing is slightly irritating
in the first half how come somebody didny absolutely crunch that big greek streak a pash when he was runnin up the park? the fud shud have been taken oot before he could get that far up the park
hope nobody got attacked by bitter tims last nite
apart from that it was a great day even if 3-2 flattered them. canny wait till we do them in at parkheed again, wudnt be surprised if mhanks started jumpin from top tier again
one thing thats annoyin me

The playing of the ball is of no consequence according to the rules of the game.

I'll say this...I've saw guys being sent off for going in two-footed with malice.
There was NO malice in Wanyama yesterday and I think he was unfortunate to sent off, as such.I can understand why he was sent off though

Ok, I'll take that as a maybe or a "qualified" yes.
Finally.
Malice has nothing to do with it. Playing the ball has nothing to do with it.
Just this simple, and the ref got this right, according to rules of the game, 2 footed studs up challenge = red card.
Of course, Celtic are free to protest the red cards if they feel that the players have been punished unjustly.
Wonder if they'll do that.....

They've appealed Cha's...
I understand them not appealing Wanyama's though

I think you're exaggerating the tackle though...it wasn't nasty and wasn't intended to injure.
And remember, Wanyama took the ball and Whittaker hit Wanyama...with his studs

i wish they'd just let Cha serve his ban
Wanyama's was a red card.

TDC get the green tinted specs off. The rule is if you foul the player and deny him a scoring chance it's a red card. It doesn't matter if there is a second defender yards away coming in from the side. Wallace was through, Cha was beat and he reached out and impeded Wallace by clutching at his shoulder. The deed is done when Cha touches him and it is a penalty. It might be considered soft but alas that is modern day football.
The Wanyama and Bocanegra reds were straight forward deserved - no excuse. Wanyama's two footed tackle is easy to call. Don't even try to make excuses. Bocanegra same as Cha, denied the opponent the opportunity to score therefore red card.
As for the McCoist v Lenny show. McCoist proved that "I have more class in my pinky than you have in your whole body Lenny" when he shook the hand of every Celtic player. Maybe it was a wind up for Lenny but it looked class. As for Lenny, sent to the stands once again for being a poor sport and a poorer excuse for a manager of professional athletes. Then he goes on the telly and makes a complete fool of himself by slagging off the referee, who had a fairly good game. If it wasn't for Rangers financial troubles Lenny would be out of a job at the end of the season. He's a poor excuse for someone who is suppose to set an example for others.

"The deed is done when Cha touches him and it is a penalty" - No it wasn't.
