Surprised to see not a single post yet about our boys who were fighin for their names in Europe last night!
It looks like congratulations are in order after what appear to be two creditable performances by both the Ville(1-1) and the Glens(1-2). Can our impressive Euro performances of last season be repeated once more?
Cliftonville seem to be sitting pretty with an away score draw against TNS. Athough they were beaten by a single goal, the Glens also have an away goal in the bank and according to observers, seem to have the measure of their Macedonian opponents despite losing. Moreover, I understand the Glens were also missing some key players.
On the negative side we recorded two more sendings off, both by the Glens. Why do our teams seem to incur regular dismissals in these games? Is it because we are over physical, boisterous, just plain dirty or the victim of continental play acting?
Lets hope both teams can put their men away cleanly in the second legs
Comments?
Can the Ville and the Glens finish?

I have a mate who is a Glens fan and he seemed downbeat about there chances in the 2nd leg, but I think the Glens are well in this tie and if they take it to the Macedonian team they will be in with a good chance.

Think the reds will, but not the Glens. Hopefully they both will, for their bottom lines, as well as pride.

C'mon, British, two of your local clubs, operating on a shoestring, nobly trying to make an impact on the European stage. How bout easing up on the cynicism and dragging your behind through the turnstiles to help out.Up the Glens and The Reds.
