Am I the only one who misses our rivalry with these guys? I know everyone tries to make a big deal out of our rivalry with Man Utd, but let's face it, they're not local and they don't care about us any more. However, with Bradford it is a proper local derby. They are our closest rivals and I always felt a little tingle (no, not in that way, you tarts) in our recent games in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy and the Carling Cup. It's just a shame they've been slugging it out in League Two for so long now 'cause I would love us both to be in the same division again.
How do others feel about this?

So in a nutshell, Leeds & Man Utd are no longer rivals.
Is that what you're suggesting?

And I've always said a rival is whoever you play on the day!..
So does that not make everyone in the League of your club or in any cup game against whatever team they play an equal rival?..
Or is it just teams you want to play?.

Technically they both compete for the league cup and fa cups.

As for rivalry with City though, virtually none existent as far as I recall. Just the odd seasons when they have reached dizzy heights such as the PL, and not even when we were in the depths of L1. My main reason for being a rival is because my brother changed teams in the 80s from Leeds to City. I have never forgiven him.
