Forget Wembley last week. For me, this is the big game of the season. Sadly, I won't be able to go.
Coming from Chipp, Rovers was always the local derby. It used to be bad enough having to visit Eastvil(l)e, but at least you had a reasonble train journey. The home games tho', meant getting on the same train as them there & back! Unbearable if you were beaten!

Yes, Red, a very big game, one we need to win to really entrench ourselves at the top of the table.
It's going to be tough, they're a different proposition now under Mark McGhee and are going quite well. I feel we can win this IF we are at our best. If we're not I can see us dropping points.
I hope we're back to something nearer our strongest line-up which for me means Caddis and Flint playing.

2 competent & settled full backs form the basis of any team. Mess about with them & your defence is dragged all over the place.
I used to play RB in Sunday football, & even to change, in emergency to the other side meant that I was useless & the guy in my normal position was as well. That meant the CDs being stretched to cover, wingers having to track back & tackle etc.
It is important to get Caddis back ASAP & decide which LB should be 1st choice.

I'm assuming Devera and McEveley today. I'd prefer Kennedy, I can't see why he's out of favour. Cibbochi makes me nervous!

Any chance we can have your manager?

Hello Hammer. No, not yet...
I see that it's a little frustrating for you guys at the moment. Plenty of fans on 5 Live 606 complaining as I write...! Top 2 still possible, but looking increasingly difficult. Not a fan of Allardyce then?
As for Di Canio, I would wait for him to really establish his credentials before seriously considering him. Swindon have the most resources in League 2, and Di Canio has been able to recruit a cast of thousands in the promotion drive. I expect we will be promoted with something to spare, but next season will be a more level playing field, and a judgement on Di Canio will be much more meaningful at that point. If he does succeed next season, I am well aware that West Ham might well swoop...
0-0 for us today. A bit disappointing, but important not to lose. McEveley at LB. I have no problem with that, assuming he is genuinely interested in joining the club permanently, and PDC sees him as the best option. If he's just a short-term loan, it's disruptive, and just another flight of fancy...

Thanks for putting Di Canio's 'achievements' in context.
