Last season was the first season without a parachute payment, as a result the club's income dropped almost 33% from approx £29m to £20m.
GSE injected £7m to balance the books last season and have already invested another £5.8m for this season.
Their total investment of pure cash into the club now stretches to £28m.

Iwas:
I don't know - but I'm informed that they paid Corporation Tax. I always assumed that you don't pay Corporation Tax on a loss.
If we need to cover a £7 million loss on season tickets alone, that means that everyone has to fork out another £400.

OOE - There is nothing you can do this season cos the prices have been set again. We have to start being realistic. Reasonable price increases over a 4 year period to get to a level where we can be competitive. Scrap plans for the Plaza. Sounds nice but we just can't afford it at this time.
Stop sales through Groupon. The £4 face value is not worth the hassle.
All aspects of the club need to scrutinised for affordability. Something is a massive drain on resourses, our turnover at £20m with a player budget of £10m means £10m is for the running of the club, police etc etc. Seams a bit steep to me.
So, to answer your question, £7m is probably not the required ammount it may be less, so whatever it is needs to addressed through ticket price increases over the next few years.
This is sustainability.

I wasn't aware that the Plaza was to be financed out of the playing budget.
Also remember that the playing budget of 10 million is now, not 18 months ago, which is the time period the accounts refer to. We still had the likes of Savage, Leaky et al festering on the books so "WHAR £10m WHAR?" (as they would say in America) is probably miles off.
I still want to know how a club can 'lose' £7m AND have to pay Corporation Tax. I think we're talking paper losses, depreciation of assets etc. Perhaps 666 can enlighten us - after all, he is a hard-nosed businessman.

No i'm not either, just making an assumption. I know you don't like that.
Player budget slashed by £2m
Plaza costs £2m.
Easy assumption to make but may be OK. The money has to come from somewhere or it may be a seperate business in it's own right. Who egts the revenue will depend on who owns it.

So the highest paid Director is on £277k. If this was the vidiprinter it would have brackets after the figure (two hundred and seventy seven grand) just in case you thought it a misprint.
Here I am assuming again but it could be Tom Glick. It got me thinking about the interview for the job.
Appleby - what experience do you have in running a Championship Soccer team?
Glick - What's soccer?
Appleby - Dunno, I thought you'd tell me. Anyway, do you want the job or not, it's only £277k but we should be able to bump that up a bit from the management fee they pay us for some reason.
Glick - OK.

Tom: Nigel, we are getting a Director of Football cosyou'reshit at your job.
Nigel: No Tom, it's you that'sshit.
Tom: Oh, right. Hadn't thought of that, anyway we need this guy to help me with transfers then cos I really don't know what I'm doing and keep letting you down.
Nigel: no you don't need him.
Tom: You're right Nige, I don't need him. But I only get paid £277k per year, you can't expect me to do transfers too.
Nigel: you'll have to delegate then.
Tom: yes I'll have to delegate. Thanks for the meeting Nigel.
Tom on phone to PA: Hi Strider, can you tell Janet the tea lady I'd like a chat.

£277k a year. That's £5k (five thousand) a week.
Maybe he should delegate his remaining responsibilities and we can sign a decent centre half.

Hi, Forest fan here.
Quickly comparing your accounts to ours
Match Receipts NFFC £6.991 million, DCFC £5.551 million.
Total Income NFFC £15.160 million, DCFC £18.121 million
Wages NFFC £16.555 million, DCFC £13.244 million
Loss NFFC £11.378 million, DCFC £6.686 million.
You still have Pride Park valued at £55.675 million although it would fetch a fraction of that if you had to sell.
I believe you also have extra costs which have been hived off to other group companies but I can't be sure of that.
Anyway, that's the position. You can buy the published accounts for £1 each from companies house web site.
