He is unfortunate to be around during the same time as feds, nadal etc as those players are quite literally; superhuman. I think murray would have a chance against feds as he's becoming a lot slower and tends to make common errors with his back hand shot. However djokovic is now another immense player that would be too hot to handle for murray. And with new emerging talents like del petro, tsonga and tomic, what chances will murray have for a wimbledon title in the future? - slim and none.
The criticism murray is getting from fellow brits is unfair as he does play some sublime tennis when at his best, plus the comment made on 'supporting anyone but england for the world cup' was ALLEGEDLY commented by murray, it doesn't appear to be true either as he obviously feels very much part of the nation due to his proven support for english talents and appreciation of fans. Plus murray's ancestors were originally from england so he is technically english. On last note, a lot of people obviously need help getting out of nadal's rear end.
Bit harsh on murray

i am ashamed by some of the comments from people on here. makes me so proud i'm scottish and not english cos the hatred it's bordering on is a national embarrassment.

i wouldn't take much notice on them as they appear to be desperate glory hunters that demand instant success, i actually prefer murray to nadal as he doesn't rely on brute force and he is technically better

Murray is obviously a good player, the simple fact is he's just not good enough! He's not as special and as determined to win as the likes of Federer, Novak and inperticular Nadal.
Winning a slam is the same as winning a major in golf, you've either got it in you or you hav'nt and Murray will fall into the same context as Colin Montgomery! A very fine player but just not fine enough!!!!!!!!
