A little worried!!!

I believe we did not play too bad today, but we lacked composure in our finishing today and in the end is what cost us...well apart from some individual defensive mistakes. How many times did our players slip today? I lost count, its as if they were playing on ice or something. 3rd/4th spot is definitely going to be a battle between us spurs and chelsea, which is why todays result is disappointing as we had enough to have taken all three points.

Also RVP is starting to show fatigue if not physically then mentally, in recent games and more importantly today he has had some clear 1 on 1 chances that we have become accustomed to seeing them hit the net but he not been successful. I really think not having adequate cover for him could be what costs us a Champions League place this year, which is sheer irresponsibility from management. It would have been nice if we had cover for RVP today, give him a little rest to start from the bench bringing him on later to affect the game. I just hope RVP rediscover his goal scoring form next game because this is now crunch time for our season.

RVP's dip in form has nothing to do with any physical struggles. He's not been clinical ALL season apart from a few games (liverpool away for example).

Well said. Van Persie has definitely gone off the boil in the last few games. It's not even that he's missing chances, it's that he's not dropping deep to try and get himself into the game. Does anybody remember who we started up front against Stoke before bringing Van Persie on later in the game?

We need to pull a big performance out of the bag against City. Worst case scenario if we lose is that we could be us 3 points behind Spurs and a paltry two points ahead of Chelsea. Rollercoaster stuff.

Spurs have sunderland away next week whilst chelsea have wigan at home.

If we won't win, chelsea will be very close to both the NL clubs. But they have arguably the more difficult fixtures, Liverpool away, Arsenal away etc etc.

Such a shame that Villa couldn't hold on for the draw today. But I'm glad that City came back against Sunderland because it'll take the sting out of what really is a bad result for them making them less likely to come out like a demented animal against us.

Oh on fixtures too, our game with Chelsea is sandwiched between a probable CL semi-final tie for them with Barcelona. This will all take it's toll.
