I remember when KP first came onto the scene during the 2005 Ashes, he was something special, he played a beautiful brand of cricket, scored against any attack and it seemed as though he was destined to be a great, great cricketer. However...
I’m pretty sure I’ve read somewhere, that some ex-cricketers put KP in their greatest ever England team, really? I thought Pietersen was going to be a great, great player, to me he never reached the heights I thought he would and does he have time to amend that? In recent times he’s just about slipped back to form, during the Ashes that was and the summer of last year, but since then once again he has dramatically dropped in the Test scene.
I don’t know if they do, but England need to have the guts to turn around and say to KP, “Goodbye and God bless"... In ODI & T20’s I’d keep him, but seriously with the form he has been would you really want to keep him? I’d play him in the next Test, but what happens that is pretty inventible. He’ll come up against the Windies in the early part of the summer and be his typical self; he may do the same against Saffers, score heavily, a team he likes to play against. However, England, if they are to remain number 1 and maintain that position they need batsman that can bat around the world and KP has not shown that at all in these trips to sub-continental type places.
The English county season is coming up soon and I hope James Taylor hits form straight away for his new county, that way England can call him up and start to play batsman that can actually either learn to play in the conditions that England clearly now have a major problem in, or simply show the fact that they can or already have the ability to play in those conditions. But, I can easily see myself get shot for this because, KP is KP right? He can hit the worst form ever, yet he’ll still get backed... I for one think people need to start being honest with themselves, surely, surely changes need to be made to this batting line-up and for me it has to be KP...
Do England Have The Guts To Drop KP?

You lads get really sappy when the rest of the cricketing world can fill their team with local born products whilst your mob are stacked with in-ports with a foreign tongue...

Wasn't Khawaja, the guy who for a brief period whilst Australia in their own back yard were getting gang banged by the English tipped to be Ponting's replacement? Eh, Sydney?... And, where was this Usman Khawaja born again?
Yes, England have a lot of Saffers in their team, but you need to remember they learned their trait in England. They were taught by English people, on English soil, to play the English way, for an English team, eating English food and living and breathing in England. Understand, you little waste?!

"Why would they drop him in the first place? What alternatives are there that would be better?"
There is no point in dropping him at this moment in time because there is no proper back-up apart from a Bopara. I think we need to wait till the county season kicks in, let the likes of Ben Stokes and Taylor prove their worth once again and if KP continues to fail... Sorry, but he needs dropping... After what has happened this winter no-one can sit here and say no changes need to be made to this line-up...

It's a shame they dont talk like a plommie then you might be able to seel your arguement......besides what about Pieterson's comment a while back when he was struggling with form just after he lost the captains job, he said.....( I'll go back home with friends & family and work my way through this period).....funny how he went to Cape Town and not Brighton.....
