NEW SEASON... NEW START... NEW MANAGER...

Your criticisms could be levelled at practically every manager and club in the country at some point.

If you're prepared to fire Pearson now, you're sacrificing any consistency for next season, find a new manager, probably low quality as the job will be viewed as a poisoned chalice, who will once again not get enough time to get the squad working as he wants it to, meanwhile getting ridiculed by the likes of this IGOR chap above, all for the sake of... what? Relieving short-term frustration and some desperate, forlorn bid to reach the playoffs, which we'd only have a 1 in 4 chance of winning even if we did get there? (Which we wouldn't.)

I truly hope the club show more patience than you.

He hasn't got to go and he wont be sacked imo. He was a success here before and he can be again, he needs a pre season to carefully assemble a team rather than a squad

I do think he has to get off to a good start next season though or I will start to fear for his posistion

The calls for a change of manager are by far and away in the minority - And the mainstay of the voice of reason is continuity - But not only with the manager, we need it with the playing staff as well - Just trying something, saying "well that didn't work, let's try something different with someone else" is not the answer - We need to organically develop with this squad, any additions should be minimal

No more manager changes, please. If we had stuck with Sven I reckon we would have been in the play-offs. Now stick with Pearson. Every new manager brings a new squad of players.

I'm just shuffling around, trying to get comfortable on this fence that I'm sitting on:

Personally, I think there's been some glaring tactical errors made by Big Nige and I have doubts about whether he's the man to finally get us out of this division.

On the other hand, I accept that consistancy is the key here so maybe he ought to stay to save yet another re-build from scratch with yet another manager. As fans then, even doubting Thomas types like me, I'd say we ought to get behind him and give him time.

Everyone has an opinion and is entitled to share it with us. This one is so embarrassing i don't even know where to begin. The one thing i will say is that if Nigel is given the time to balance the squad over the summer, to suit his style of play we will (in my opinion) be up there in the promotion battle next season. He's proven he's upto the job in the past. He knows how to grind out wins even when we don't play as well as we should (this season has contradicted that i know). He needs the summer to just mould the squad into how he wants it. Have patience, it will come good

"The calls for a change of manager are by far and away in the minority"

But just because one opinion or set of opinions are more popular at present, it doesn't neccesarily mean they are better or more informed, or indeed that everybody will stick with that opinion forever. Indeed, the minority view is often proved over time to be the correct one. I've noticed a lot more negativity towards Pearson since the Barnsley defeat and grandeurgate. It's gone from about 5% to must be pushing 25% as the year has gone on. Personally I feel it's justified as I believe Pearson is doing a rather bad job, but everyone is entitled to thier own opinions - either way one opinion will be proven right eventually

Everyone felt the season end last weekend and Beckford got it in the neck but the manager is the one responcible for picking the team selecting the tic tacs and getting and keeping them fit
