Rest of the season

Lets be honest we have been poor most of the season, save a few games.

I am now dreading the remaining games and cannot bear to think of us dropping further down the league though that seems to the way we are heading at the moment. There have been numerous articles blaming certain aspects of why we are where we are. I am worried that our great name, and yes it is great, is perhaps being tarnished by becoming the laughing stock of the EPL. No teams need to fear us at the moment as on form only Wolves have the potential to shock.

My concern is, and God how we all love Kenny, that can we endure more of this for the 1st half of next season? Can we afford to heavily invest to set things right? Will we attract the standard of player needed to compete again?

I will never stop my love for LFC and will never stop backing the players but feel that surely Kenny & Co. can see that there is something wrong with our mindset and how we are setting out the team. I know there are arguments of progress in all areas I am sure there has been behind the scenes and we have to trust that. But the 1st team is where it matters and this season, for any reasons we come up with, has just not been good enough. I trust the management (from Boardroom down) but fear that with the methods we play with at present we just will not be good enough.

Thoughts please people?

Kenny might have known what the problem was a while ago, but until the transfer window opens he cant do anything to change it.

Adam,Kuyt,Cara,Spearing and Henderson should not be any where near the first team and Carroll might end up being an expensive sub we have brought, but we have to stick with him for now and hope he improves.

I just hope we have some good names lined up for the Summer and actually play people like Shelvey,Henderson etc as backup in a team full of confidence and see them improve over time rather than having to play in a team that is playing shiiite and their improvement suffers as well.

If not finishing ahead of Everton (which is the minimim of all minimum expectation) is not a motivation then serious changes need to be made and the buck starts at the manager. He needs to look at himself, his own stubborness and then his conduct which has been pretty bad.

Liverpool need a couple of technical players, creative midfielder and fast, tricky winger, job done. I think Carroll could still come good, after all hes a striker, all he needs is a few goals then all will be forgotten

It's the inconsistency that baffles as we have played well. It's also clear, and something that Kenny did when he arrived, that some players must be shipped on including Andy Carroll who shows nothing about being a top player.
We are in a tricky situation as top class managers are hard to come by but I wouldn't mind if Kenny left at the end of the season. It's been shown elsewhere though, such as at Swansea, that tactics and formations are very important and lesser players can gel and get results if coached correctly.
