Les Ferdinand, without question.

City payers who were successful at ch and cf include
John Sjoberg
Captain fantastic---Walshie
Ian Marshall
I have to say that Dion never really looked like a cf or a ch to me in his time here though he had performed well in his time at other clubs.

In answer to the original question I think Sir Les was a class above the others mentioned but who was best out of Derek Dougan and Frank Worthington?

Surprised nobody has said Campbell. However, I'm also going for Sir Les!

Sir Les
Sorry Glynnak , never saw The Doug but Frank's gotta be my near or actual favourite.

Sir Les for me from that list!
Big Matt Elliott was pretty good at a bit of dual trading! He was emergency striker for half a season and bagged the 2 in the 2000 cup final!

Well Aaron
The Doog was in many ways a similar character to Worthington
He was a tall strong bustling centre forward (N.Ireland international) who was charismatic--always in the news and he became (like Frank) a cult hero.
His partnership with Jack Sinclair was deadly but having seen both play I cant make my mind up who was best.

Matt Elliott!
He was great as a striker, those 2 Goals at Wembley!!

For two seasons or so, Rodney Fern was prolific, the first year in the old Second Division following our relegation (1969/70) and then the next one.
I won't forget the 'goal that didn't count' at Highbury in the FA Cup replay, and the way we played would have seen off the Gooners and put us through to the Semi-Finals had it been allowed to stand.
