Garath McCleary?

Noticed he is out of contract at the end of this season at Forest? Always thought he was a good player.

Anyone think he might jump ship and come to us? Morgan might put in a good word? or not?

Same with Luke Chambers? but I don't think we need any more centre backs!

Whats everyone else think? Worth a punt?

Really?

Based on 2 or 3 good games?

He isn't that good IMO. He has flourished because of our loan signing Adlène Guedioura from Wolves.

If you have a good engine house in midfield then yes, he will be a good signing.

However, you will find 6 Prem clubs in front of you battling to sign him. Seems Norwich are favourites

Heard a few grumbles in the past from up the road about his attitude - whether or not its a problem I dont know.

Attitude is fine... You are probably thinking of McGugan.

He can drift out of games but when he is on form he can be unstoppable..... As I said, join the queue

I was actually talking with a few Forest fans who I play football with recently about who they thought may go in the summer.

The general consensus seems to be that he was a reasonably decent championship player having a good season as opposed to the other way round.

May be worth a punt I guess, not sure how much better he is than Dyer though.

I'd be very surprised if 30% of Premiership teams offered him a deal.

I’m not sure that there will be that long a queue really. There is a difference between being an above average player at a poor Championship club to cutting it in the Premier League, but we shall see. I’m not sure that he’d be top of my list anyway as I still think we need someone to hold the midfield together.
It does, however, highlight the problems we may have in recruitment next season. Like this season it may prove difficult to find players with the quality to get us up who don’t have a Premier League option.
This is the area, recruitment, where Pearson and Walsh need to demonstrate that they are shrewder operators that the more obvious approach of Sven (i.e identify target and then offer as much money as it takes).
