Edinburgh - Toulouse (ACTUAL: EDINBURGH BY 5)
Facing the biggest side in European rugby Edinburgh come into the game on tha back of a disappointing Six Nations and a home defeat to the Newport Gwent Dragons, and are missing Lee Jones. Toulouse meanwhile sit top of the Top 14 have won away last week to (midtable) Stade Francais. No side would really want to face Toulouse, even at home and there would seem little reason for optimism for Edinburgh, the current cold spell looks set to slacken and I can't really see anything other than a Toulouse win here
Toulouse by 7
SARS - 0, DBM - 0, Gecko - 0, Taras Bulba - 0, Mojiebhoy - 0, Captain Hook - 0
(Blimey we did well there!)
Leinster - Cardiff Blues (ACTUAL: LEINSTER BY 31)
Given that they have to travel to Dublin to face an O'Driscoll-ified Leinster you can perhaps understand Gavin Henson's drinking spree. The form couldn't be more different coming into the game Cardiff lost 31-3 at Glasgow last week whilst Leinster won 18-9 away at mortal rivals Munster, with Jamie Roberts also out for Cardiff it leaves them a mountain to climb and Leinster at home would be a tough ask of even the very best sides in the world. Simply put its just too much for Cardiff
Leinster by 10
SARS - 2, DBM - 2, Gecko - 4, Taras - 4, Mojiebhoy - 2, Captain Hook - 2
Munster - Ulster (ACTUAL: ULSTER BY 6)
Whilst the first two games would seem clear cut, this is anything but. Last week Ulster creamed Aironi at home, whilst Munster lost to Leinster as mentioned above. This may have slightly deflated the strength of their Thomond Park fortress, which would have been less intimidating to Ulster than say France or England. Sadly, I think the big thing here maybe the loss of Stephen Ferris, and whilst this appears to be a Munster side in decline I think they may - just - have enough for Ulster without Ferris, though I think this will be a thrillingly tight game
Munster by 3
SARS - 0, DBM - 4, Gecko - 0, Taras - 0, Mojiebhoy - 0, Captain Hook - 0
Saracens - Clermont Auvergne (ACTUAL: CLERMONT BY 19)
Possibly the pick of the lot, the two second place sides come head to head, both licking their wounds after defeats - Saracens "nominally" at home to table topping Harlequins and Clermont more suprisingly to rather lowly Biarritz. Again a tough one to call, and teh tendency then is to go with the home side, especially when the French are travelling. Sarries are likely to have a bit of a post - Six Nations bounce, though its questionable as to what, if any effect this will have. As with Munster - Ulster I think this will be very tight, and probably more highly scoring, but I just fancy Saracens to have the slight edge

SARS - 0, DBM - 0, Gecko - 0, Taras - 0, Mojiebhoy - 2, Captain Hook - 3
What do you think? Where do I have it right / wrong?
With the predictions, as per the Six Nations, its 2 for the result 1 for within +/- 5 pts, 1 for being the closest to the actual margin and a "Grand Slam" bonus point for correctly guessing all 4 results
SARS - 2
DBM - 6
Gecko - 4
Taras - 4
Mojiebhoy - 4
Captain Hook - 5
WINNER: DingBatMan - Congratulations!
Heineken Cup Predictions

Toulouse will do Edinburgh by a cricket score, let's say 30 points.
Ditto Leinster over Cardiff.
Munster - Ulster?
Close, very, very close.
Can I go for a draw after 80mins?
Sarries should manage to eek out a win against Clermont. I wouldn't read too much into Clermont's loss at the weekend. With only 4 games left they're as near as makes no difference qualified for the play-offs and probably had one eye on this game, not to mention Jean-Marcellin Buttin getting a yellow for a deliberate knock-on on 54mins when Clermont were leading 14-9, whereas Biarritz were fighting for their very existence.
However, Clermont have a poor away record.
Sarries by 6.

Can I play?
Toulouse by 10, too strong in this comp for Edinburgh
Leinster by 21, game will be over at half time
Munster by 10, this is the Heineken Cup at Thomund.
Clermont by 3, it depends on how seriously the French treat this comp, but I feel they will sneak it.

Good start for me. Should have been an easy prediction but it turns out to be one of the biggest upsets in European Club Rugby history. Luck of the Irish I guess.

Moj
Edinburgh are Scottish, and upset Toulouse, unless of course you think it was Leinster who were Lucky.

Blimey, what happened there then eh? Fair play to Edinburgh, what a result, shows me what I know! If there are any Edinburgh fans out there please feel free to inform me and everyone else, in my defence, just how wrong I was, oh and great stuff, feel free to have a drinking bender that Keith Richards would consider OT T!

Haha SARS. They were grey weren't they! Such a pity that for them they won't be holding on the Grey. They are going to miss him.
So now the mighty French giants have been dispatched its really difficult to look beyond Leinster, who are looking unbeatable at halt speed, and should u meet them in a good day... It's lights out.
On a Sid note I'm so happy to be back to the Heineken cup after the 6 nation's. It's a personal thing of course, based on feeling a little bit of success. After a torid 6 nation's competition.
