With all this unrest at the club at the moment, I'm curious to see if its still 'in Wenger we trust' or has the unconditional love for him started to wane? Do you think he's lost dressing room?
Hypothetically if he has would your rather lose the 3 or 4 keys players we are rumoured to be losing or lose Wenger?
In my opinion if we had a 'great' manager it wouldnt have come to this.
Wenger?

There has been definite cracks in the previously near unbreakable faith that many Arsenal fans had in Wenger. He's done so much for the club and that has rightly bought him time and patience but that can only go on for so long at any club.
The man is an utter legend but this season, this Summer, is absolutely massive for him.

I'll admit i'm starting to doubt wenger and i have been a strong wenger supporter but evidently he has not been able to persuade nasri to stay and while i don't know his transfer targets I don't know if players like samba, alvarez are the top class players to fire us to a trophy, however i will judge our summer dealings at the start of the season as we definately need all transfers done before the newcastle game with big games against man u liverpool and 2 cl qualifiers that we must win. I don't know if we will replace the 3 big out going players with equal quality and i don't know if we'll do this before we've lost alot of points in the league and are potentially on our way out of the cl. There's a lot of issues and unrest and neither wenger or the board are doing much to help the fans

in my opinion, he overestimated how long he could live on the goodwill of fans.
as the years have gone by, his excuses and his beliefs have been picked apart, one by one. but his refusal to admit to being wrong will be more destructive than most people realise. it could ruin not only HIS hard work, but it could also ruin the image the club enjoyed before his arrival.
i remember reading an interview with don howe - he said that the first time he played against arsenal (when he was at west brom) his manager said to the players 'you're at the arsenal today, so you'll conduct yourselves properly.' the fact is the club doesn't have that aura anymore; our lacklustre performances on the pitch and the antics of wenger on the touchline have made us something of a joke.
as recently as three years ago, he had a guaranteed legacy... now though, he's at risk of being remembered as the stubborn idealist who outstayed his welcome.

I think both Wenger and the board are sick of fans whining. They know that the only thing that will shut everyone's bellyaching up is some 50 million pound man that they have stated over and over will not be bought. I don't doubt Wenger at all but I do fear that the petulant nature of our "We've got a god-given right to have won a trophy in six years" fan base, may eventually lead him to say:
Stuff the lot of you. If you're too dumb to work out that you can't afford those transfers and don't have the decency to get and stay behind ALL the players you do have, then I don't see why I should bother. I can STILL have my pick of football's top jobs so I'm off. Have fun watching another manager run you into ground financially or limp you to 8th place with my players.

If you read what the previous comments have said you will notice that no one here has mentioned anything about a god-given right to winning trophies or spending ludicrous amounts of money on players that will bankrupt the club. Also the commenter's here have not torn into Wenger and demanded his head on a pike.
People can analyse Wenger and ask questions about certain things, doesn't mean that we've forgotten what the man has done for the club and want him booted out.
Deep breath sir!

Footballs top jobs?
Maybe City or Inter but couldn't see any other top team giving him a job in the near future but I wouldn't expect an objective discussion with someone named Wenger's bodyguard.
Who says he needs to spend £50 mill I just expect a manager to strengthen when its needed and get rid of players when its obvious their not upto standard. Because if they don't you end up going 6 years without a trophy, our best players wanted to leave because they had enough of playing with average players, the average players not wanted to leave because they've got it too easy on wages passed what they deserve, decreasing appeal for top players to sign and supporters unrest.
If thats not to even question Wenger in slightest you may be infatuated.
Oh yea don't forget we have one of the highest ticket prices in europe, c'mon how good do we have it!

Both the Board and Wenger are ditherers who are
incapable of anticipating situations and by the time that they do make a decision it is often too late.
Manchester United have already made the bulk of their acquisitions and will be able to bed these players
into the team before the season starts.
Arsenal by contrast are still at starting post and will no
doubt get pipped at the finish by teams which are more
decisive and willing to go extra mile to acquire players
they want.
That is why you are beginning to see implosion at the club. It is a lack of ambition combined with management who react far too slowly to what is going
on.
Fabregas wants to go not because of DNA but because at Barcelona he is guaranteed success whilst
at Arsenal he sees a club incapable of reacting to situations, which have now been ongoing for several
years.
Wenger's stubborness is also contributing to likely
departure of Nasri. The fact that so many other clubs
are willing to buy and meet his demands tells you that
our Board and Manager are out of touch.

I have faith in Wenger
I know that he's not trying to be stupid, or be ignorant, or stopped trying as hard
All these problems only arose after the stadium appeared. Unfortunatly during that time, much more money than usual has been spent, making his job much more difficult
Players like Nasri want more money (supposedly, I'm not saying they do, just if the hype is too be believed)
I think players like clichy are slightly tired of not winning
But this year it is all or nothing for Wenger. If he f**** up now then he's gone, but if he gets the players required, I could see him going on for many years
I don't think any other manager could do better at our club without spending £6000000000 million. And even then he might only just break 4th

Nobody is saying we have a god-given right, however Arsenal fans are behaving as though that's the case. Anyone would think we are the only club not to have won a trophy for six years. I mean how many clubs in the top flight have not won a trophy for six? Most of them in fact. Thier fans aren't all talking about how thier managers are making the team/club implode.
Doublethink
City the cash cow and Inter one of the best teams in football? Aren't those both one of footballs top jobs? You think if Jose walked that Real wouldn't be straight on the phone for an available Wenger? Course they would (though I'll concede I don't think they'd sack Jose to go get Arsene). Given the number of players that Arsenal fans have deemed "Not up to standard," he'd have to get rid of half the team. Arsenal fans especially are far too critical of thier own players. The downside to the young team we have is that it is near to impossible to say they're "not up to standard" as none of them are yet complete as players. Indeed working by that logic, we'd have got rid of Fabregas years ago because he was great at passing but couldn't do anything else so was clearly not up to standard.
I thought Cesc wanted to leave because he wants to play for his boyhood team and Nasri wanted to leave because we can't afford to pay him what he can get up north in Citeh. Nasri wouldn't be going anywhere if the club would meet his wage demands. Even Bendtner is only asking for a transfer because Wenger won't start him along with or ahead of RVP. So nobody's talking about how our players are too rubbish for them to play with. SO WHAT IF YOU GO 6 SEASONS WITHOUT A TROPHY?! It's not the first time we've done it and it won't be the last. Before thier current dominance of the league started Man U went more than 6 with no trophy.
I question things about Wenger but not the philosophy. If anything, it is what appears Wenger's tactical ineptitude that have cost us trophies NOT poor players. There's plenty of losses and draws that would have been wins had Wenger handled things differently.
Can't deny that about tickets though
U5799
Man Utd have again spent money they do not have and will be in the a world of trouble when the inevitable end of thier current streak of dominance arrives. They're a financial disaster waiting to happen. The fact that other clubs are willing to meet Nasri's doesn't make the board out of touch at all. The board are sustaining a specific business model to keep the club profitable and not financially dependent on ECL football. If Nasri can no longer fit into that model then he has to go.
