Formation/Line Up

Just picking up on something that was mentioned in a previous thread and thought it was deserving of its own discussion.

Someone mentioned that they felt that Kean has found his best 11 and doesn't see past that (even to the bench)

I would say that I have been impressed (Bolton game aside) by commitment and set up.

The 2 Olssons on the left may prove to be a real plus for us on the break with a solid midfield of Nzonzi and the ever impressive Lowe in front of an immense G.Hanley.

And what do you make of Orr? Job specification is no bad thing even if he's an average player, decent defender and provides support on the overlap, better than Lowe there?

I do feel that our first 11, maybe not the one that Kean selects, but not far off it honestly is good enough and detirmined enough to stay up, but who else do we have there? Henley, Dunn, Goodwillie, Modeste, The Serbs, yea, not bad, what do you reckon?

Erm why is everyone dropping Pedersen for he's created more goals than everyone else and your dropping him ,while Formica has done nothing and is playing he works hard creates nothing i don't get it Formica is very overrated

Pedersen is still making goals. N'Zonzi scored from one of his throws at Bolton.

Pedersen is still a very effective player and has looked fairly good in the centre of the park (I still think Lowe is a better option, though).
The only problem is, he does get caught on the ball sometimes and he is still the scapegoat for a lot of people so he is always called up on his mistakes.

Everybody is picking their best team for West Brom. Do you propose to pick the same team against Liverpool on Tuesday?

Surely there should be some fresh legs in at least one of the games, or are you putting everything into the away game? If Liverpool don't play their full first team, then we will be facing fresh players out to make an impression.

"Pedersen is still making goals. N'Zonzi scored from one of his throws at Bolton."

Hanley had a header tipped over from an MGP corner and MGP played the ball of the game when releasing MO into the inside left position, which the Yak could have scored from.

Who else could have hit the shot that went in against Man U, but was correctly disallowed for a goal-kick?

We scored at Wolves and Bolton with MGP's involvement.

We remain top of the stats in terms of goals scored from set-plays.

I agree Lowe and N'zonzi should be playing together in the centre but i don't see why everyone wants Formica ahead of Pedersen ,if Pedersen is out who will take corners ,free kicks and throwins thats 70% of Rovers chances of getting a goal gone against a team that we need to beat

I'm not sure if Pedersen would be that effective on the right wing, really.

Pedersen is playing on the right wing already.

Agree with SKA that MGP out wide right is not ideal, but would still find a place in the team for him as one of our more naturally talented players.
