Jordi Alba

From skysports.com:
It was even claimed last month that Alba and Barca had already reached agreement - but both the player, and both clubs, denied this.

Now as well as Barca, his agent says Chelsea, City and possibly AC Milan have all been in contact.

But he also revealed that Alba was in talks with Valencia about extending his current contract.

"We are conducting negotiations for a contract extension and I cannot rule out that we will reach an agreement soon," Alba's agent Vicente Fores Cornejo told Tuttomercatoweb.

"Barcelona, as well as Chelsea and Manchester City and maybe AC Milan, have had contacts with Valencia, but personally I'm just talking with Valencia."

I approve of the club showing an interest in this quality of player. He's a top player and only 23. Been playing in the past few Spain teams and a certainty to go to the Euros with them. Looked good every time I've seen him play.

A lot of you will continue the usual crying about Bertrand. But he is never going to be as good as Cole was, and that's the quality of player we need for a club like Chelsea. He's a good backup but that's about it.

Snap him up for about 20m and a quality signing.

I'd love to see him at LB for us with Hazard, Lucas or Muniain ahead of him but that would be such a kick in the teeth to Bertrand.

I'm not bothered about Cole, he can leave to Paris if he wants. He's done his time and I'll wish him well but Bertrand can be a fine replacement.

I would also probably sell Cole but PVA is having another average loan spell and while I'm a fan of ADC, being second choice LB would be to much to fast for a player with 0 first team appearances, so ideally Bertrand would be main LB next season and Cole can be used as competition, and as a squad player for the final year of his contract. And hopefully by then PVA has learned to defend and ADC has had a decent loan spell somewhere

Do you really see Cole playing second fiddle?

I don't think his ego would allow it.

That's true I would hope he would realise he is turning 33 that season and with his knees needs to rest more anyway

Alba is LB not LM/LW . Sell Cole and bring him in.

No I'd see him being sold. Finally.

Alba can play both LM and LB. The obvious position would be LB.

Yes but it would be a waste of his talent.
