Seeing as Howson scored today, thought I would have a quick look to see how many games we won with him and without. I've split the season results at the Millwall match he was injured in and included cup games. So:
With Howson: Played 23, W12 D4 L7
Without Howson: Played 22, W7 D5 L10
So a win % of about 50% with him. Down to about 30% without.
I know there are other factors in this but thought it was a good stat and shows that we need to shop in this area in the summer.

Played 23??
W12 D4 L12 adds up to 28!!
Which gives a 43% win%

We're worse without Howson no sht!!
We're worse without B Johnson, Kilkenny and Gradel too, but that doesn't mean the chairman's going to do anything about it...
The only area we'll be shopping out of this summer is the bargain basement freebie market.

he chose to leave for the prem and more money than any championship club can afford, cant blame him for that but we cant blame bates for not playing prem wages when we dont have prem income

No premier income in terms of tv money, but income from ticket sales at premier prices.

attendances are down,so even with a price increase we are standing still, attendance money is chicken feed compared to the cash the prem teams get and relegated teams get 48million,how can we compete with that?

Joe attendance money is not chicken feed compared to tv money.
Until 2 years ago tv revenues in prem were on average 10 mill per club and are now in average 23 mill per club.
Look at how much our gate receipts are for a half empty ER in the championship are and you'll see that in Prem with the higher prices well have no fuller ground that gate receipts are a hugely important income stream.
