A few surprises in the offing ?

As we now enter the last phase of the season it is quite apparent that diCanio is already looking forward and pre planning for next season, so as to avoid the pre season turmoil that he was saddled with initially.

I guess we will be saying cheerio to at least Esajas, Gabilondo, Cibocchi, Phil Smith, Mehdi Kerrouche and possibly Cox as well. We already have Bostock, Holmes and Jay McEveley in on loan with an eye to the future. Right now it would appear McEverley is doing very well and Holmes is doing ok, I've not seen Bostock play.

I've been told Esajas needs an operation but to why he hasn't had it I don't know, anyone who saw him pre season will tell you he has a thunderbolt of a shot on him, but he does go missing in games. Gabilondo has done no bad thing but seems to drift in and out with form. Kerrouche we all know has fallen out with the gaffer so no surprise there, Cibocchi could suffer if McEverley is signed as Callum Kennedy still has age on his side. Cox also seems to have dipped out of favour of late with the gaffer.

So as things start to warm up, we will be very soon at the end of the season, and most folk saying, "Blimey !!!! that went quickly didn't it" as it always does when you are winning. After that it will be holidays for some, and then wheeling and dealing before the pre season training, and then back to game one of the new season.

If you look at the League One table, we will be playing some "big clubs" that have fallen from grace next season, so time to man up. I think most of those I have listed plus Ta-hoe, he has had his plug pulled so is draining back to his parent club, idiot, will be leaving, plus probably a few others, and another player re-cycling exercise will begin. I do hope this time a bit more nouse will be used before signing these players as Wrays financial input must have been massive this season along with that of Black and Arbib. They were all connected with gambling before they came here so they know all about long odds and big stakes, but their financial input, nerve and on going participation must never go unappreciated or over looked, we owe them, massively.

Finally I'd like to know if anybody else sees things differently and if anyone has views on players incoming who would be of use, last week I singled out Chris Lines, but we have a wealth of mid fielders anyway, but what most are agreed on is Benson needs a partner, a reliable 20+ goal a season man, and I would guess with our mid field functioning well as they do, the service going forwards will be good. Any suggestions ???

Alfreton fan here....Hows Flint doing for Swindon this season....

Flinty is doing well although right now we are waiting for him to come back after a co-occurrence of a groin problem that he has, which in time may need an operation. He has been playing well when available and has become a key player in our back line, alongside Alan McCormack or Joe Devera in the middle and Paul Caddis, full back.
His real test with us will be next season in League One,
by the way , you haven't got a 20+ goal a season front man you would like to sell us as well have you ?
The manager and chairman that signed our man Flint have now both moved on, and there is a far better set up here now, but another good striker as Flinty is defender would be the icing on the cake.
