Vermaelens had a couple of bad weeks.
First gifting QPR two goals, and now costing us two goals.
Hopefully he is over it now, or I may just start to believe he is a secret Yíd agent.

City were lucky to leave with a one nil defeat, could of been 3 or 4.

Lay off Vermaelen, nobody tries harder for the team than him. 99 times out of 100 he would not have got in the way of RVP's header, and as for his miss, compare it to Ramsey's then dare to tell me it was worse.
The man saves us a hundred fold what he costs us, and the number of mistakes he's made can be counted on one hand.

Rui, calm down son. I wasn't having a go.
But his miss was way worse than Ramseys. Open goal, time and space. And at 0-0.

Duly noted
Vermaelen's - It was on his weaker foot and he was in a congested goalmouth in a pressure situation, with no time to react.
Ramsey got the hard stuff right, made space and plenty of time, got the ball on his stronger foot and with all those advantages, he still missed the target by a wide margin. I really think Ramsey's was worse.

Ramsey had time to line up his shot whereas TV had to react instantly . Still a bad miss but Ramsey's was far worse.

Vermaelen had all the time in the world. The ball was coming out slowly, he just panicked.
Ramsey had to beat a player, and Hart made himself big.
Both bad misses, but the fact it was 0-0 tips the balance towards the Vermaelen miss as the worst.

Both were worse than each other in their own rights.
Still can't get over Ramsey's though. That was honestly terrible from where I was sitting behind that goal..

To be honest I'd rather we shoot and miss, or potentially get a scrappy rebound, rather than overplay it when a shot is on.
