Contractual Obligations...maybe?

Hey fellow blues,

After Bobby's comment in his post match interview regarding Ballo's challenge and what the FA should maybe do about it, it has brought me to the thought that a few of our players may have contracts demanding a very high play rate or other contractual obligations. Something that our owners had to agree to which would seal the deal for these players. High profile signings that otherwise might not of entertained joining a club on the up with new money but with a poor "recent history" of winning things. High wages alone may not of been enough for some of them.
I suspect Ballo is one of these players meaning Bobby has had to bite his lip and deal with him, continually playing him regardless, (even though Bobby wanted him originally).
Ballo's challenge may of been the 'straw that broke the camels back', and Bobby's comment was more one of hope, giving him a means to stop picking Ballo to playing via a ban, totally out of the clubs and Bobbys hands.
I know this may sound far fetched but we have no idea what City or Bobby have to deal with to get and keep top players here at City until we create a winning history.
This theory is not soley based on Ballo either.
Other top players I think this applies to are:

YaYa.. top player and influencial for a lot of the season, but when tired or in a mood he's been pants....Still played when he probably shouldn't have, only the ACONs kept him away.

Silva.. top, top player, again, great for a big part of the season, but got an injury and has since appeared completely tired.... yet until yesterday through injury still played almost every game.

Tevez, a jewel turned bad... has been a very naughty boy, but still comes back and plays probably as a result of contractual obligations and legal ramifications.

I understand City have probably had to make some allowances to get the wheels turning, but most of our other players only get to play through merit and hard work on and off the pitch with the like of Milner not getting enough playing time no matter how well he does. One of our best away fixture players yet we played a tired Silva or a hot/cold Johnson.
None stop hard graft if the key to away games, even the so called 'easy teams'. I think this should be addressed next season if the title is the target.
If my theory is even half correct, I hope we don't make the same mistake in the summer when the tranfers start, and that we are wiser in our player aquistions, more so even wiser in who we release. Theres a part of me that loves Ballo, but I think he needs to go, YaYa needs a competitor of his style and stature and be willing to forego a higher percentage of games. Milner needs more games and a licence to roam, (remember his game against liverpool when Barry scored), thats his best game style.
Silva has good enough competition in his role with Nasri and should be rested more.

Players I'd love to see play for us next season but proabaly won't happen.
Ronaldo, regardless of his history he would give us great creativity and width.
Pique, top class partner for Kompany.
and maybe Hulk, left wing, if he could get used to the Premier League like Ronaldo had to and not 'fall over' so much he could be a great player for us.
Can't think of a player of YaYa's class and size right now.

Anyway, enough of my ramblings, these are just my thoughs.
What are yours?

A club like City or any top flight lub would never sign a contract like that.

To be honest, top players would be play a high rate of games anyway.

ya i agree that top players should be playing most games, but players having little impact or bad attitudes being giving chance after chance to come up the goods and failing yet still get onto the pitch beggers belief, i cant help but wonder why. we have other players we should be putting faith in
