coyles 'passion' ...

Quick one as im on my phone...

Just wonderd what everyone elses thoughts are on coyles attitude towards games. He never looks botherd when we lose, always seems more interested in complementing the opposition than talking about bolton, never admits he got it wrong etc...

But the most annoying thing for me is the way he is on the touchline, for instance at the fulham game, even at 2 nil down he just sits in the dugout not really looking botherd, I want to see him in his area shouting at the players, looking like he cares! He is always like this, hes too nice...i have a feeling his half time team talks are equaly as useless and non-motivational as we always generally look worse in the 2nd half of a game.

I feel he has no backbone and is to nice, nice guys get nowhere im afraid...

Well, I hope it is like a graveyard on here later. That will mean we have got some sort of result.

But I am bracing myslef for a busy night, with the usual abuse being bandied about!!!!!!

When has constructive criticism ever been abuse CEF?

You'll be calling it blasphemy next!

the trouble with younger players is ,they never get to play

RB - I am all for constructive criticism, and will always debate with posters who criticise.

After defeats, a number become abusive as you well know. Lets just see how long after the final whistle the first abusive comment is made.

I can also predict which poster of 5 it will come from.

Nice stat about Chris Eagles for everyone...

Only Fox of Norwich and Gower of Swansea have a better accurate crossing percentage than him this season.

Performer.

Owen Coyle cares alright ..I've no doubts about that. Owen's main difficiency is that he's not yet good enough to manage a Premiership club. The experiences of this season will bring him on somewhat, but his future in the Prem, and Bolton's - hangs in the balance, as it has done all season, TBH ..... If he manages to engineer ' The Great Escape ' ..he'll be all the better for it ..if he fails ... we all lose, as I can't imagine another Prem club givin' him a job in the near future.

Maybe not the neat future but they always get a chance.

Pardew, Redknapp etc etc.

The thing is, everyone who isn't a Bolton fan thinks he's brilliant, and all say he's doing a good job under the circumstances. Something thats echoed to whoever i speak to. Which makes me think he will get a prem job if he was sacked next season anyway, only seems to benefit a few of us who criticise.

Well of course they do ...they all hated Bolton when Big Sam managed us, as they couldn't cope with us, and there were no guaranteed points against Bolton back then ... even Megson's Bolton sides were hard to play against in some respects .... but now we're a soft touch, they all love us, so they're bound to like what OC has turned us into ...the only losers are Bolton, so their ' approval of OC ' is only to be expected .... doesn't mean they'd want him though, given his poor points record in the Prem ....
