Here me out...
1 year left on his contract.
A versatile goal scoring midfielder who can also play upfront.
Being American means he would be a marketing ploy as well, considering the owners are from the states. Our pre-season tour is also in America.
Could solve our wing problem.
Okay, so he's 29. But he knows the premier-league inside out and produces every season.
Added threat from set-pieces - something we miss.
I realise he's not part of the FSG vision with his age, but if you spend £10m or so on Dempsey, their is a real possibility of getting high sales in American merchandise (shirt sales).
What do you think ?
I think he ticks all the boxes.
Clint Dempsey ?

Yeah, those Spurs players he found are doing really badly now aren't they

so then why would something different be required?

Something different than the big-money English players we signed last summer. I'm pretty sure we will look around Europe for cheaper, and almost certainly better, players this time.

fair enough, good luck.

I like him. Very much.
But I wouldn't give him that. It was definitely going wide until Cahill turned it in.
Poor Cahill. It really hasn't gone well for him in general.
Just watched Bale only half pull out of yet another dive. How does his reputation not precede him at this point? multiple dives with no contact at all this season and he's still treated like an innocent.
