I dont want to be accused by the mods of posting a non-sport related article but in a way it IS about grass roots football...so please dont remove, thanks.
Now im not familiar with the area of withins, but im pretty sure this is how it is...
withins had a leisure centre that was part of the local secondary school.
withins school is closing and moving to a new 'state of the art' (i.e., inoffensive, ethnically diverse, eco friendly eyesore of a 'modern' building and a total waste of taxpayers money)
therefore, the adjoining leisure centre has been sold to generate yet more cash for the project or to make money for our 'we no longer actually serve the needs of boltons citizens as we are now a business' council.
meaning this particular football club cannot play football anymore, meaning you have a bunch of young kids potentially losing the opportunity to exercise and learn genuine life-skills that playing football at a young age brings (such as teamwork and the like)
the kids used to pay 60p a session to play football at the club to cover costs etc - totally understandable - anyone can afford that. but now, as the leisure centre has been sold to a (rather ruthless sounding) company to run, they want £50 an HOUR to let this group of kids kick a ball around for a couple of hours.
come on Bolton councillors...time to earn your salaries, sort this out! make the withins MP bring it up in parliament.
I dont see how we can afford to provide rapists, murderers and paedophiles in prisons with x box 360s, internet and pool tables, yet we take away the only chance some of these kids have of doing something real and beneficial to their health!
sorry...rant over.
yet another mess made by bolton council...

I never liked Arthur Scagill but when he said that Thatcher had an agenda to close as many mines as she could, he was right as history has proven.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Ye... ur right, we should of just kept them open at a loss. Always the correct thing to do. You can bang on about research all you want, uve spoken to a copper and one family, hardly ground breaking research. The mines where closed because they wherent making money. The north east has recovered. If it where left to you lot we would still be milling cotton by hand, cos it keeps someone in a job.
And do you seriously, in your own head believe that Thatcher was out to be "evil". People need to grow up. She did what she believed was the best thing for the country, and sometimes people at that time suffer as a result, which is a shame.
Oh and one other thing... these rich tax evaders who you enjoy castigating, what law have they broke? Just be interesting to see if your knowledge stacks up on this.
Im not sure anyone answered the question about saving tax neither... funny that

Laws that can be avoided if your rich enough and creative enough with your accounts...

which by the way you have access to, do you pay more tax coz of your morale obligation? Or would you get out of it if you could

No one wants to skin them alive but to me, they are as bad as the scroungers

You might be arguing a different end of the spectrum to me, but i entirely agree with this point.... "illegal" tax evasion is disgusting and costs this country, if i remember rightly, around 5-6 more than benefit fraud. However the, under 10% bracket that you refer to, will mostly be legal....i didnt see His Toniness, or Golden Frown changing this.
We have polar opposite opinions on politics, we would never ever agree, however millions would agree with me, and millions with you. So i dont mean any disrespect by any language or tone i have used against thee...... Anyway coyle out!!!
FIGHTT!!!!!

You make an excellent point about Tax Evasion, sadly you make it with a poor example...
Most high tax earners are sick to death of the NHS and go private anyway!!!
They can't get seen within a respectable time because of the clogged up system including many people who don't contribute to it!
And re Maggy, she was voted in by the people and kept in by the people...
Not gonna say anymore, its gone well off track from people wanting sports centres to remain open on a loss when other services are on their backside...

.......
I think his question is asking more if you consider it morally right as opposed to illegal...

Do you know enough about 'Tax Evasion' Trigg and the contribution various members of society pay or are you grabbing a 'Sun Headline' and running with it?
Forget Moral... Live within the law... People would be thick to pay more than they need to.... And if you knew a way to give yourself more disposal income, you'd take it.
It's the Governments job to implement tax laws so cut the Robin Hood!

Have you actually gone through the education system in this country Trig?
I earn money to provide for my family. I seek and gain as much as I can...
I'll leave inland revenue to take my share for the services in this country..
And to think many more people don't think that is frankly stupid...
And yes....... I choose your name...

Clegg, not all the pits that were closed were unprofitable, far from it.
What did Thatcher really achieve? She sold off the crown jewels, namely the utility companies, she presided over boom and bust, Set up the roof tax and as I have mentioned she set one part of the community against another. The only thing I give her credit for was defending the Faulklands. If you have
any other little gem that she was responsible for, share it.
As for my research into the miners strike, first and foremost my posts states that I talked to policemen not one policeman. Second, I spent quite some time in County Durham and other mining areas of the North East. I worked up in that area for several years, I also had many friends up there and as my father was a miner, it was a topic that I was very interested in. Please don't critisise anyone unless you know the full facts.
As for the rich employing creative accountants, They may not be breaking the law although some may do. I don't know. A very topical story at the moment is the there are several bogus charities that have been set up for the sole purpose of evading the payment of tax. What ever you say and whichever way the people go about it, it is still evading the taxes that should be paid to the goverment.
I hope that this puts a different view of my earlier comments regarding my reseach into the miners strike.
