Looking on twitter I see journo John Percy says there's something going on with the ownership of the club. Now it looks like we'll stay up the new owners become the most important issue facing the club.
So what do we think?
What sort of owners will they be, and what do we want?
Foreign or British? I dont really care.
Big money investors, like Leicester or Derby style, reduce the wage bill, let the club fund it's self and be happy in the NPC?
Money doesn't get you every thing and we had a big money investor in ND and it wasn't always great. But money gives you the best chance so I hope theyre willing to chuck a few quid in.
Will they keep the manager or bring in their own man?
I hope they being a new man in.
Will they be a hands on visible presence that communicate with the fans? Or will they be the faceless type that you never hear from?
While it's nice to know what's going off and what the people that are running the club are thinking. It wouldn't be a bad thing if they just let the manager and the team do the talking.
Will MA and FC stay on?
Quite like Clark to stay on, don't really care either way about arthur.
New owners

Honestly?
I would love some rich arabian owners who want success. That is the fastest way to success and if it ends in disaster we may always get somebody like tony fernandes ala QPR.
Would you rather risk 20 years of mediocracy or take a gamble and win some silverware?

Why do you think none of the managerless clubs have taken him on?

Because we're still paying his wages perhaps
(although I never want him to set foot in the City Ground ever ever again )

How is it Ramdini, once again you just point at something, but have nothing to back it up with!?
It is always like this with you Derby fans, imagine (yes this probably will not happen to those who cannot take an analogy) that Billy came back and then won the European cup say. Derby fans would then go and say well he was great for us as well you know, you lot just cannot get over your jealousy.

See what I mean. Billy damaged Forest. Very badly. Not over it yet. Caused the fall out with Nigel Doughty. The hypothetical case you raise is not going to happen. I know the Derby fans quite well and there's not one that would want Billy back, even if he did win the European Cup. They are in the main much happier with Nigel

No he didn't. That's just rubbish.
I remember Forest fans singing anti doughty songs when we got relegated to league 1. 4/5 years before Billy came anywhere near the City Ground. Your talking rubbish.

The truth is ND had never been so popular as he was after Billys first season. Even long term ND sceptics started to believe he'd got it right. ND himself and McClaren caused a 100 or so people to protest. Not Billy.
Not that it really matters now. You believe what makes you happy. Billy is evil and Old Non-League is some sort of god like figure. Your that stuck on what you want to believe nothing will change your mind anyway.

Thanks Sutton,
It's only my perception that Billy did the same at Forest as he did at Derby, Winged and winged about investment and, certainly at Derby - bought a load of rubbish players on high wages and, when he luckily got us promoted, had no idea how to organise the defence to stop leaking goals. We had the lowest points total ever. His technique is to do his moanng in public so that he either get's the sack and collects a big payout or at least has someone else to blame for not succeeding..

Oh Billy moaned a lot. I'm not saying he's perfect and I wouldnt want him back (although I'd take him over Cotterill) but all this stuff about him being responsible for our bad season and signing rubbish on big wages doesn't apply at Forest. The players we have not earning their big money were signed mainly by McClaren, Miller, Derbyshire, Greening and so on. Saying that I think all have ability and could, under the right management be real assets to the club. But they'll probably all leave in the summer.
