Despite Booth claiming they will come in with a new gameplan this was exactly the same Haye we are used to seeing.
Fighting on the outside, potshotting waiting for his opponent to make a mistake and explode. He did this against Valuev Ruiz and Harrison, but unfortunately its not a good enough style to beat Wladimir K. He needed to be busier set up traps, use better footwork(despite his handspeed and headmovement his footwork was poor imo) have better timing(Wlad did look open to a right over the top)and better conditioning to simply fight harder. It would also help if he starts working on a inside game.
The only thing that surprised me was that it went to points and I know Wlad is now getting all the plaudits but I don't think this was a great performance by any means from him either. As for the toe excuse, what a joke.
Haye needs to take a leaf out of his pal Carl Froch's book, someone who has gone into fights with bruised ribs and other injuries yet still fought hell for leather!!

he came in way to light for me,and got his tactics wrong.
he shlda looked too roll under the jab with more side to side movement, like iron mike used to.
MAY have given him the chance to get inside and then the shot for me wlda been the uppercut, which doesn't seem to get used so much nowaday's but is a very effective punch.
like just about all british fighters, fell short on the biggest stage.
the toe did look sore, but pull out,the money spent on the bout is irrelevant,if you know 3wks in advance then pull out.
don't look to it as an out after the event.
