A Pillar Of Abhorrent Lies.

Great article on the South Yorkshire Police by David Conn in the Guardian, very eye-opening.

A great piece of reporting. Makes sense comparing the actions of the South Yorkshire senior police. Corrupt and rotten.

Great article. All police forces around the UK are corrupt but the South Yorkshire division are disgraceful.

quite weird regarding the police forces because at one point it was only criminals that hated the police, now days even people who you would regard as upstanding members of society etc can see them for what they are and a lot of people have no confidence in them any more.

If you asked most people in this country they would say they had a lot of respect for fireman and Ambulance people but not much for police.

Police are supposed to uphold the law yet they brake it more than the bloody criminals do because they can hide behind bureaucracy and it stinks, same as politicians and B(W)ankers

The police were much worse without a doubt, in an overtly physicl way back then, although I still think that some of the old ways are still within the force, the met and their cosy relationship with the newspapers and murdoch for a start is very very stinky.

These days though the police are fairly muzzled, if not the riots would've been very very different last year.

anyone that would like to see some of the shenanigans back then and good guage of public opinion might like to search youtube for 'Spitting Image', not necessarily representative of the truth but their portrayal of the rozzers and media pigs is spot on!

Jenners, your point about it only being criminals that hated the police, it would've been periods like hillsborough, the miners and general police brutality to the generation of dissafected youngsters back then that have now grown into the sort of people that you wouldn't have thought would dislike the police, there's nothing like personal experience to influence people.

When the police service is run by politicians, the door to corruption opens wide.
In every country in the world.
And if this bill to introduce wholesale spying through the internet, mobile phones, etc, on our citizens, is passed under the guise of "anti-terrorism", then dear god, come in Orwell's prediction, your time is here.

This is our world, now. Shameful.

sad isn't it redflag,

i think this is bad idea to be honest,as you will always get criminal element in society but this will force them underground, also these groups will start hacking government sites more and more, then where does it stop, and what do they do with the information they get?

at the moment its only empty threats, we have got this information from your site blah blah, but if the government do decide to do this and start snooping on people, jesus christ very worrying!

i hope it fails, but it is the torries we are talking about here, they do what they like.
