David Dein, very big cheese at Arsenal in his day, now gone. Even bigger top banana in the FA, seen as a powerhouse. Do we need him. He would, I suspect only need us to further his own power base within English football, a place where he could say, 'I belong, I am needed' JimmyTheRed

I've always been optimistic interesting to note that commoli was stunned by his sudden dismissal, as for the sports science team, well, if you can't get AC fit and motivated in the time you've had, then there appears to be something wrong possibly? Everyone appears to be leaving with their integrity intact as far as FSG is concerned, I guess we'll never know the real reasons for being shown the door, you know, unless our club wants to air it's dirty laundry in public!

Didnt Dr Bukner leave because he basically finished his job? That was setting up the sports science facility btw.

Comoli, well reading what was said it appears he wasnt doing what they wanted, they being the owners. Maybe his negotiating skills were poor or maybe his pay scale for players to much.

At 69, David Dein unlikely in full-time role at club but wouldn't surprise me if heavily consulted. John Henry is a fan of how he works

Van Gaal's name is in the hat as well.

G_B, well, if you go by what was written, damian went through mutual consent too So maybe Dr.Bukner did finish his job or maybe he expected to be there longer than this too? You could speculate that someone wouldn't want to turn around and say 'I was asked to leave because I wasn't up to the job' if they were given the opportunity to say 'my job here is done', like I said earlier, people have been given the opportunity to leave the club with their integrity intact, it's a bit of a coincidence that Commoli, Bukner and someone else left the club today, don't you think?

this is a great move. cruyff is experienced in this role. he can have an influence on the academy coming from ajax who have a great academy structure. he's a big name that will attract headlines giving LFC publicity and more global supporters. he will be a top scout hopefully for us.

its looks as though cruyff would be the guy who oversees everything kenny does but he has a lot more footballing experience than commolli had so might have more of a say on the training field. ultimately the team will be picked by kenny still with steve clark continuing to offer his tactical input.

i like this idea but those three guys have to be on the same wavelength as friction between them and the whole club structure will be broken.

Talk about big personalities...Cruyff and Dalglish.

Got to say tho, if we had Dein, Cruyff and Dalglish at the club....WOW, what a European pedigree that is!! Imagine being a young player when Cruyff turns up or Dalglish...got to be good.

We need a younger man with more drive. I would go for tkiki Bergaistain who was at Barca. Hes more likely to attract the sort of players we need.

Cruyff... No!

seems to much like a handy payday for a man pushing on in years

I think we could see Van Gaal joining us soon.
