Why Kenny Dalglish is the Best Manager

Very hello,

Kenny Dalglish has been getting a lot of criticism recently, but as I will prove through detailed analysis of stats and information, he is one of, if not the best managers in the country, if not the world, in recent years. Here are the criteria for judging a manager at a top club:

1. Average league position
2. Success in European competition
3. Players signed
4. Being Scottish

I will now prove why Kenny Dalglish is the best manager in the world, based on these criteria.

1. "Success is judged on how high in the table your team is"

Table of Average league position since Dalglish took over

The table above shows the average league position of each of the top 6 teams since Dalglish took over, and as you can see, Dalglish's Liverpool are by far the highest up in the table, of averages. Fergie, despite all the hype, has been consistently low in the table, of averages. So league positions since Kenny took over proves he is the best manager in the league.

2. "Success as a top manager can be judged on performance in European Competition"

Number of European competitions knocked out of 11/12

The table above shows the number of European competitions that the top 6 clubs have been knocked out of this season. As you can see, Kenny Dalglish's Liverpool have not been knocked out of any European competitions this season. This shows that he is not only a top manager domestically, but also doesn't crack in European competition. Unlike managers such as Fergie and Mancini, who have been knocked out of 4 European competitions between them this season.

3. "Top managers are judged on the players they've signed to gain success"

Top managers are the ones who don't have to bring in world class players to bring success to the club. Here is a list, by manager, of high quality signings each of the top 6 teams have had to make to bring success to their club since Dalglish took over.

Top players signed by manager
Mancini : Aguero, Silva, Balotelli, Tourés, Nasri, Clichy, Dzeko
Fergie : Young, Hernandez, De Gea
Redknapp : Saha, Parker, VDV, Adebayor
Roberto-Villas-Ancelo-dink-lari-inho : Mata, Meireles, Sturridge, Luiz
Wenger : Oxlade-Chamberlain, Benayoun, Henry (sort of)
Dalglish :

As you can see, the managers of the other top 6 teams have all had to make top name signings to be able to compete at the top level. Dalglish hasn't made any top signings, which shows that he is the best manager out of the six, because he gains success with his team without buying top players like other managers need to.

It is also worth noting that Fergie, Mancini, Redknapp, Wenger and Roberto-Villas-Ancelo-dink-lari-inho have all been at their club for at least 3 seasons, because all of those clubs like to have long term managers and stability, where as Dalglish is under pressure all the time even though he's not even been knocked out of a European competition this season!

4. "The most successful managers in the Premier League have been Scottish"

Scottishness by manager

Fergie :
Dalglish :
Wenger :
Redknapp :
Roberto-Villas-Ancelo-dink-lari-inho :

Scottishness KEY
Alcoholic
Racist
Possible wife beater

The chart above shows Scottishness by manager from the top 6 clubs in the Premier League. It clearly shows that Dalglish is the most Scottish (According to the 3 main criteria of being Scottish). This is another clear, scientific, well researched and statistically accurate reason why Kenny Dalglish is the best manager in the Premier League and in the world.

Another reason why Dalglish is the best manager in the league is his footballing priorities. This is key for bringing success to any club. Here is why his footballing priorities make him the best manager:

Qualifying for Europe is not important, so league position doesn't matter. Concentrate on getting to domestic cup finals instead, because Qualifying for Europe is most important

Those are the reasons why Kenny Dalglish is the best manager in the world.

Please try and enjoy your day,

Bye.
