McEachran

Still not getting any time on the pitch despite Swansea being 3-0 up....

A bit worrying....

It is worrying but he is still very, very young.

Only a handful of players get regular PL football at 18 and so there is plenty of time. I'm sure he will have leart a lot from Rodgers as well. Should still come back a better player than he left.

It does prove that we get too carried away too soon about our young players.

It takes time to step up to first team level for the large majority of youth players, we must be patient.

I just think he was unfortunate that Sigourdsson went there at the same time. He has been quality for Swansea, and he's that little bit older than Josh. I think if Josh had more of a run he would have nailed a place in the side.

Wilshere was a first team regular at 18

Shame cos he's the most naturally gifted midfielder we've produced since Alan Hudson - and I include Wilkins in that!

Given the midfield we have at present, I can't accept that it wouldn't have been better to have kept him with us this season - even as an inexperienced 18 year old he would have to have been better that what we have witnessed so far!

My thoughts exactly!

I am not angry about him not being played. Swansea have a good midfield and fair enough, Rodgers may not want Josh starting. What annoys me is that Rodgers has not even given Josh a chance to work his way into the midfield. Ignoring him every game on the subs bench. It's what annoyed me about Kakuta's loans to, but this time it was worse as he even impressed in the limited chances that the managers gave him but never got a sustained run. The sad thing is, though, he wouldn't have got any more playing time had he stayed with us

I agree with this, and the truth is we have more of a need for a Josh type of midfield player than Swansea do!

Still it was your father AVB who loaned him out, strange decision for such a proven and brilliant young manager don't you think?
