I was at the game along with the other 184 Brewers (I think that is what the worst tannoy system ever said). I have just got in and I am not that bothered about the outcome. Honestly.
You get these freak results in football. Remember when we battered Aldershot 6-1. Bristol Rovers were lucky today. Goals from deflections, a penalty and some Keystone Cops defending. Sometimes you have games when everything goes your way - through your own good fortune and through the opposition handing it to you on a plate.
Ross Atkins had the worst game he will have in his career. Hero to villain in a week. Words cannot describe how bad I think Blanchett is. Jimmy is the most ineffective player in the history of time. Ada is atrocious. Bolder looked to be totally unfit.
So, you have Bristol Rovers being extremely lucky on the day playing against a team of 6 (with the 5 passengers above all doing their level best to help Rovers score as many as possible).
I can't recall the Pirates goals in the correct order. I will have a go though;
1) Swerving powder puff long range shot that my cat would have saved.
2) Ada dispossessed 30 yards out with ease - just the keeper to beat.
3) Penalty.
4) A disinterested Blanchett skinned on the flank, cut back, goal.
5) Atkins and Stanno collide with one another 18 yards out. Empty net. Goal.
6) Heavily deflected goal.
7) Deflected goal.
He wouldn't play Ross if Lego had not got injured. He would not play Blanchett if Aaron wasn't injured. Ada only played because of injuries to Macca and Dyer. But what of first choice Jimmy? Can someone please tell me what he actually does? He doesn't beat anyone, he doesn't cross the ball, he doesn't score goals and he loses the ball every time he gets it.
Pirates 7 Brewers 1

Well im bothered about the result,it just shows what a poor bunch we have at the club.Ok Otep i agree sometimes you get lucky breaks but seven is a miracle and we all know our performances over 90 minutes even in the last few games where we have picked points up havnt been that good.I really think the 184 fans who went down to Bristol should be given back there entrance fee because that from a Buton Albion side is not what fans pay good money for.On a previous thread i doubted the defenders abillity to be consistant thats come home to roost, they are pathetic. To say you were not bothered about the result Otep is not you because you are like me Albion through and through, its anger and embarrasment that your team have give up and the powers that be are doing nothing about it as yet. This artical is not a pop at you my friend it is a pop at the the football club in general and i hope my opinions do not offend you.

No offence taken at all Emnez. An abject 2-0, 3-0 or 4-0 is really painful. However, when you go past the 5 goals mark you move in to comedy territory.
The old adage of you don't know whether to laugh or cry is easily determined when you lose 7-1. For me I start to find it funny.
You make an extremely good point about the refund matter. I have put a lot of thought in to it. At the Memorial Ground it was a pay your cash at rhe turnstile with no passing back of ticket stub (unlike 90% of away grounds this season). Therefore there is no proof of attendance. Instead, wouldn't it be a nice gesture if the players, the staff and the chairman paid for all of the travel to Macclesfield. Hiring a few coaches would not set them back that much.

Yes free travel to Macclesfield, good idea that my friend suggest it after that circus on Saturday.

And treat those two impostors just the same'.
I was ecstatic at Underhill when we battered Barnet scoring 6 goals. I have taken this defeat on the chin and moved on. These things happen.
Bristol Rovers lost at our place so its 3 points apiece.

I forgot to mention the Jimmy classic. It was down the other end so I am not totally sure what happened. However the reaction of the fans behind the goal suggested it was very, very bad.
Some kind of mix up on the edge of the area saw their keeper stranded and Jimmy with the ball at his feet. I thought there were 2 defenders between him and the empty net but I am not sure about that, where they were exactly or how influential they were in proceedings.
Anyway, relatively empty net, 15-18 yards out and he hits the post.
