Absolutely gutted. I am so disappointed with manager and players after yesterday. For the life of me I can't understand our reaction after we scored. It was as though we'd scored with five minutes to go. We dropped stupidly deep, isolated jelavic because the midfield dropped deep aswell, started hoofing it anywhere out of defence instead of trying to play football. Liverpool showed the one thing that we don't have. Belief.

Arsenal fan. If Distin doesn't play that pathetic pass, you hang on and win the game. Then all the tactics look smart.

I thought DM would play Drenthe and terrorise the Liverpool full-backs, put them under pressure to give away free-kicks and corners. Then we could have put pressure on their third choice goalie.
It didn't happen!

I thought Everton were no better than ok in the first half and poor in the second. Once Liverpool went 1-0 down we upped our game and Everton had no response.
A big factor in the result is squad depth, and while people laugh at Caroll and Hendo (which is their right) they are good players going through a tough period; they enable us to bring on Maxi and Bellamy and also we could of brought on one of Kuyt, Kelly and Enrique if needed.
A Liverpool win was a fair relection of the game and i just think that Everton may have read to much into the poor run Liverpool had in the league, i wasnt suprised we won because apart from a few games we have been playing quite well...although losing, but it was (in my mind) always going to turn.

Drenthe was being disciplined for something...don't know what but we could've done with him on the bench until 60mins

I shoulder the blame fully on Moyes. He obviously set his stall out to try and sneak a goal and then sit back and soak up the pressure.
I really cant understand why though after the football played v's Sunderland in the previous game. Without doubt Jelovic has added a bit quality to the side but when he's up there all on his own with no-one bursting a gut to support him then what chance does he have.
Moyes has taken the plaudits in recent months following a string of good results but Im afraid to say he got this one badly wrong.
He has tinkered with the personnel for a good few weeks and I'd be surprised if he actually knows his best team right now.
Cahill looks like a shadow of his former self and Fellaini flatters to deceive more often than not. I admit he is good going forward but as a defender he is constantly getting caught out.
A very disappointing end to another season which offered so much promise at the turn of the year.
