So, listening to Jonathan "tiresome link" Pearce last night, and heard him come out with this classic (forgive me if not quite right) "Manchester City's millionaires up against Norwich, a team put together by more honest means". Now if he had said "modest means" that would be fair enough. But what exactly was dishonest about the way the club has been taken over and subsequently funded? I suspect that over the years there have been many examples of other clubs whose income has been generated originally from rather more dodgy sources - black market meat, second hand cars, unstable computer equipment to name but a few... Anyway, the point is it has now got to the point were I switch off MOTD before the post match analysis kicks in to avoid hearing Hansen, shearer etc spout their usual drivel, and now it looks like I'll be watching it with the sound off to avoid pillocks like Pearce DURING the game. I now know why my Grandad used to do the same so he didn't have to listen to Jimmy Hill.

Do you really care what some insignificant has-been or wannabe say's?
Dr.Hector's diagnosis is for you to lie down and get some perspective.

Tiresome and predictable. I'm amazed that he didn't accuse Tevez of diving like he did with Dzeko when he was fouled for the penalty during the Sunderland game.
The media in general are predictable, obviously a Tevez hat-trick is a major talking point but Aguero was by far the MOTM yesterday but he hardly got a mention.

The thing is we weren't the biggest spenders in any of the last 3 windows but the media seem oblivious to that.
Paul Lambert and Brendan Rodgers have done fantastic work this season and they'll have faced at least 12 clubs who have heavily outspent them in recent years but it's only ourselves who are likely to draw any of these snide comments.

I think FFP will mean we're the last club to get in the lifeboat (topical) as far as a big money takeover is concerned. I hope that like Chelsea, a degree of success will make the media's comments look bitter and meaningless.

... Only more success than Chelsea!

Yes, he should have said 'modest' and not 'honest' - a disgraceful comment to make, IMO.
