Not sure, he plays both positions very well, I think it's more to do with the fact Bayern have had the lb position to fill and he is versatile enough to play either.

Yes, wouldn't you? He has a lot of potential but he isn't at these guys level yet. Imagine Valencia and Alves bombing down the wing....

I'm certain that they have already scouted and enquired about Bale, but were so shocked by the inflated asking price they haven't bothered looking since.
