Brighton have just paid 2.5m for a striker yet we have to wait to sell players before we buy. Is it that bad at Bolton financially and if so who is to blame after 10 years of prem money and never really outlaying massively on players?

Hey admitted I was wrong on coyle to villa. But will never live up to your intelligent posts bwfc
...................................................................................................
Did i post my team's manager was going to Villa and it was a done deal watch this space you said, bet your mortgage on it you said, did he go no did he even speak to Villa? er no.
We all can tell what you are Wheats another mr.negative and a billy bull$h1tter so go write your drivel elsewhere i wouldn't want us to waste 2.5m on a league 1 striker who is 27 when you can get DJ Campbell who scored 13 Premiership goals for 1.25m
I think you will find if you look at my posts i speak a lot more common sense than you and i even spotted your name change to try and side step the abuse you would have got after you guarantees over the Villa thing jog on Wheats and take your doom and gloom elsewhere it's only the 4th of July for gods sake the windows been open what 96 hours jesus

Brighton just won the league to get into the championship, therefore all their players are on league 1 wages meaning Overheads are much much much lower.
The championship is also the 5th biggest league in the world revenue wise, it's hardly cheap then is it.
We need to sell to buy to make sure we dnt get into a position where we have too many players and not enough money to cover them.

Coyle had to ditch a few players, half of them weren't fit to play and the other half were simply not good enough with the exception of Gardner. Remember, they were all on decent money so he has cut the wages bill considerably.

There are alot of fans like The Wheatsheaf who just don't understand much about football or the politics surrounding it. There are alot of aspects which affect signing new players.

Remember the Sammy Lee summer!?
10 new players, then bottom of the league, and all eventually shipped out!!
Buying the right player is a long process especially when you are low down in the food chain..
Regarding the players released, who exactly will we miss when we name our strongest 11?

Share your wisdom then Holden. Cause not understanding football I assumed you offered money to a club they accepted it then agents become involve if the player wants to come. once all is agreed they sign. Unfortunately we are not going past step 1 due to a so called lack of money. But being an idiot and not understanding football I wait anxiously for your so called wisdom

It is not actually a lack of money which is stopping us going past step 1 as you call it.
The reason Coyle as added one player to the team so far is he will not do what you want him to do and sign 10 carp players just to make up squad numbers he will bide his time and work hard to sign 3-4 really good players who will benefit our squad and team and help move us in the right direction.
He has already stated we have targets i am sure a few of these do actually rest on the fact we are hoping to sell Cahill but he is in the market for new players.
Rodrigo is rumoured to be returning either on another 12 month loan or if we sell Cahill we may sign him on a full time basis for 4m.
I am not a football agent either but i know enough to know that after just 5 days of the transfer window we have no reason to panic we have 4m in the bank from from Al-Habsi now possibly more if we sell Cahill, If we do sell him early enough then Coyle (who has a great track record with signing players by the way) will have time and cash to invest in the correct players.
I for one as a fan would rather us sign this summer 3-4 really good players who will add something to the team rather than sign 10 joe nobodys who will add nothing but numbers to our squad to keep fickle moaning fans like you happy.

How do you know we aren't getting past step 1, as a rule, we don't announce that we have signed someone until we finally have.

There's your stupidity right there, how do you know we haven't had 10 bids accepted but then talks have broken down, how do you know we've made any offers at all? We dnt have a clue what's going on yet fans seem to come on here and moan about it. It's been 5 days, if it was 2 days to go in the window and we had only signed Pratley then yes moan. Every single thing a club does is not reported in the press, alot is made up from clutching at straws, In our case currently being linked with Jerome. Purely fabricated because he's a striker of a team who were relegated an we need a striker. Shaun Wright Phillips, we wanted a 3 month loan in Jan for while Lee was away, yet now we want to sign him, obviously not true as we dnt need him.
Now agents, luckily for you Im training to be a football agent in the future, they ultimately control the player. If they would like a big fee and the club dnt want to pay it they wnt. In the instance of Vela, his agent wanted over £1m for the deal. And in regard to a contract it's more complicated than wages, years etc. You have bonus, yearly bonuses, minimum release fee etc etc etc, if the player and club dnt agree on one thing no deal. As bwfc forever said, it would be better to have signed 5 quality players by September than having 5 players now and not being able to sign a better player later cos we have used all our funds. I could go into alot more detail n talk about more but I'm having my tea.
