OK so we have our target positions, RW, Poacher etc. and I've heard talk of squad players to be brought in but will we actually buy squad players? Surely we have enough of those? Haven't we agreed that the current first team players like Adam and Henderson are in actual fact squad players in quality therefore bringing in players to fill out the squad would be pointless?
I think we only need to look at improving our first 11, not our 18. The squad is complete just a few tweaks to that first 11 like bringing in pace. Unless we sell the players brought in such as Adam then I doubt squad players will be bought. At least they shouldn't! That would be a step backwards, of course if we brought in better players to be in the squad and sold current it would be OK.
What's your thoughts? Bringing in more squad players would decrease the chances of youngsters coming in. If the Dalglish project is under way etc and almost complete then any more than 3 signings this summer would mean that Dalglish doesn't believe in the players he has got. I would expect the only high profile players to leave to be Maxi purely because he has been rejected for much of the season. Other than him it would have to be players who Dalglish isn't satisfied with from his own signings.

To be fair to Kenny, he played Adam when Gerrard was injured, and then played him when Lucas was injured, and Adam is now injured himself.
Lucas and Gerrard would be ahead of Adam.

I totally agree with you mattjc.
A creative and skillful winger/playmaker and a natural goal scorer with experience should be the first two targets of the summer.
Cover could still be targeted in positions such as a experienced defensive midfielder, and maybe a younger attacking backup. (Keita and Hoilett).

We need a creative player who can unlock defensives probable a player like Aqualani..? haha Nah one who can switch sides and play up front as well a versatile forward like a younger Bellamy.. Meaning some games they can play out wide others play as a forward or if things are not working can switch positions like what Man United seem to be so good at when struggling in games and it always gets them that extra goal...

said it before and i'll say it again, we should pay whatever it takes to get hazard and m'vila.
the argument of no champions league will get thrown up i'm sure so the owners should meet with them in person and sell their vision of the future and explain their investment plans to get us back into the champions league in the very near future.
those two will be stars for the next 10 years and if they do go elsewhere i don't want it to be because we didn't try hard enough to get them.

Exactly right! There is no harm or shame in atleast trying to sign the very best, after all they can only turn us down. If we are just going to settle on run of the mill players, then we may as well give up now!!!!
