There's only one Shane Lowry!

Championship football next season!

But what a miserable way to achieve it,

Thoughts?

July 7th...but you'll forget to put them on...

At the very best we will finish the season on fewer points than last year. Please explain to me how that is any measure of progress, or success?

What is evidently clear is that the definition of ambition, at Barnsley Foot Club, from top down, is survival. That is it.

With that mentality, we will never escape this mindset where 50 points is our target. Which means every year we will struggle.

Football is meant to be enjoyable. This is anything but enjoyable. I literally do not enjoy going to the game anymore. Performances on the pitch have done that to me.

If that is the future, I need to make a decision. I really do have better things to spend my money on, than this.

There is even an argument that I would prefer to see us have moderate success in League 1, than watch this absolute dross, week in week out. Year in, year out. Paying hand over fist and being expected to accept this as success, as progress.

As you can see. One angry young man tonight

dd - Judging the season as a whole and taking Hills advice by asking to judge his signings at the end of the season here is my judgement. Without being critical of their efforts ( you can't get blood out of a stone ) could you explain in your expert opinion who we have out of Hills signings who are championship standard footballers.

royalbfc - As the song goes "You've got to Have Hope." And a little ambition.

This is our worst season since the 1st season we got back into the championship. Hill went on about clean sheets and positive goal difference. Again worst goal difference since that 1st season. Go on our website and look back at the tables. Shocking, we have a team full of league one players and thats where were going next season. bookies will be justified to have us as favorites for drop.

Wow U-an McGregor, I actually agree with you on this. This is the weakest squad we have had since re-entering the championship, and I don't think the league was as strong then as it is now.

Blood from a stone is exactly right, but it extends beyond the playing staff. You can't make diamonds out of coal, and we can't afford diamonds. I don't blame anyone at the club, I blame football itself.

Don't count your chickens, Bristol could lose the next two....

Oh wait a minute, that would mean us actually winning a game.

Nevermind.
