It's been a couple of months of stop start play off hopes and I for one am finally glad that the fat lady has sung her song.
The reality of just how far off reaching the play offs we actually were has shown itself over the last two rounds of Championship games. Over the past month up to Saturdays' games I'd guess that about 80% of other results have gone our way - granted, this often happens for a club but not THAT often. If we'd have won at Millwall and last night we still would've been where we were after the Ipswich win - 3 points away from the play offs because of results not going our way.

There were quite a few fans on Radio Leicester last night calling for NP to be sacked. I'm not sure where I stand on this. I'm definately in the "we need consistancy" camp but what bothers me is that there's a danger of consistancy for consistancys' sake - in other words, do we keep a manager who has kept us inconsistant since he took over? Is he the right man? Force me on a decision and I'd say let's keep NP - but only just.
How long is it 'til August again?

I take your point on consistency for consistency's sake, but we've had so many changes of managers that I think it's better this than our usual mantra, which has been closer to change for change's sake. We've been switching managers for so long and we haven't got back into the Prem - in fact we went in the opposite direction - so I'd rather see us try something different and stick by a manager with an otherwise very good record during a tough time.

As for the phone-in, I'm not surprised it was negative last night - it would have been difficult to ring up and say anything positive without looking stupid after that dire match. It's matches like that where I'm glad we have Bamba playing, for entertainment value alone.
