Yea we are a spot higher in the league and have picked up the exact amount of points we have picked up this time last season yet we are the ones in decline. Could you care to remind me how Chelsea have done this season in comparison to the last 10?

As have we. In fact if you look at Chelsea record against Barcelona over recent years in the CL we are equal in terms of W/L/D. They have gone through on away goals and the times when they have beaten us we’ve unfairly had, I will rephrase…Barcelona have conned the ref into sending our players off. Del Horno and Drogba. Then of course there was THAT game where we had five penalty appeals turned down by Puyol or who ever it was in charge of that game.

Had we been playing on a level field we’d actually be fair superior in head-to-heads against them.

None the less they are an even more dangerous prospect these days and we’re not the same team we were under Mourniho so that counts for nothing.

I would love for us to out pass Barcelona but that isn’t going to happen, I’d be happy for the ugliest of ugly wins. I’d normally draw the line at bending the rules but with Barcelona I just don’t care A.) they are the best team around and it’s for a place in the CL final and B.) I really can’t stand that sanctimonious lot so wouldn’t feel the least bit guilty if they were cheated for once.

It would be naïve to think we can go in to the game and win purely based on our game, we need to upset their system and win. I’m all for playing to your own strengths but when you’re up against a team like Barcelona with Messi in the kind of mood he’s been in this season you have to adapt.
