Just noticed he's on the bench tonight and I think he's missed a few other games in the CL (maybe league too but not sure?). Just wondered why he's not included tonight, has he fallen out of favour? Been injured or out of form?
He was a certain starter last year I'm sure. If anyone knows any reason why I'd be interested to know. Cheers!

He's on their bench but I'm surprised Mascherano is still playing on CB when it's not his natural position and Piqué being available.

Pique has been avg this season. When Pique was injured, Mascherano filled in at CB, and hasn't looked out of place.
Even tho Mascherano should be playing where Busquets is, he has been Barca's best defender this season. I don't think anyone times sliding and last ditch tackles as well as him.
Pique has always been average IMO.

Ah ok thanks for that. Bad luck for him. Not a big Barca fan at all (of course I admire their game, who doesn't) but will be cheering them on tonight!

Pique has been poor this season - ever since he started bang.ing Shakira. Then again, he is a young millionaire, won all in the game, and now bang.ing a hot superstar so kudos to him.
