Bates backers holding the club back

I'm ****ing sick and tired of this. What riles me even more than the stupid cretins in charge are the fans who still believe the club is being run well. Hearing the phrase "just get behind the club" makes me feel physically sick to my stomach and makes me want to physically harm whoever said it. The worst part is hearing the same arguments from these clowns about the ground redevelopments and how they're going to increase revenue streams, despite seeing in plain view that this **** is hemorrhaging money, the Centenary Pavilion cost is £3 million in the 10/11 season, from a building cost of £1 million that's a ****ing disgraceful amount of money. It's going to continue costing us money for **** we don't want, don't need, and managed to support the club without for decades. The same goes for that tripe Yorkshire Radio. All their staff on the Leeds United payroll and that business itself is a massive loss maker as well. The sheer stupidity of any fan saying "we're making a profit and he's only spending what we can afford on players". He's got these idiots wrapped around his little finger and it's exactly what he was banking on when he took control of a club that had stretched far beyond its means. Taking advantage of the weak and cautious.

There is not a single positive of that man being in charge of Leeds United. If I hear anyone telling me I'm holding the club back because I won't get behind the club, or trying to tell me that "I'm an idiot for wanting us to overspend" (great, tell me what my opinion is for me), I'm going to have to hit them. The sheer stupidity of these idiots is enough. If you still believe in ken bates, you are not helpful. Enough proof is there that he is a liar, which in turn proves that he cannot be taken at his word, which in turn proves that he's trying to cover up something dodgy. He's a manipulator, and anybody who still believes him - congratulations. You're weak minded and stupid. Well done. Do us all a favour and extract yourself from the gene pool because you're holding humanity back as well.

U12978 of course, you are entitled to your opinion, it is a football forum after all, and if you beleive what you beleive that is fair enough, I admire you for it actually, that passion shows me how much you love your / our club as it is for what I believe in too etc, it's all good,

But is there any way we can all stop using the term 'Cancer' to describe somebody whom you don't like very much? - my skin crawls each time it is said, I find it really disrespectful to anybody who has either fought it, or seen, been there when family members have fought it

Marko I knew it was you who wrote that letter haha..

for your name Pal, it is the top option box, it does say optional so it is a little confusing to be fair.....

Are you going to call yourself..

'Bates is the best the world'

PS "Marko" you are so Italian

I'm actually of Scottish decent, which has been picked up on before on the basis of my fiery attitude. Come from two families that have been slowly moving south for generations until they wound up in Leeds, one of which goes by the name of Malcolm.

Marko was a personal choice, thought it was cooler than Mark. I then realised it was pretentious but Facebook says I've had too many name changes now.

As for cancer it's the only really solid metaphor - elements of the club are not working as they should, and spreading that dysfunction throughout the system causing multiple systems to fail.

Of course I have various other metaphors for other stuff. The bates backers are the girl in the abusive relationship.

Leeds United is a desktop computer and bates is a faulty PSU that keeps sending out power surges and frying various bits of hardware, the propaganda machine is the technician telling you your motherboard or graphics card or CPU or RAM is the problem and just needs replacing, and each time another part gets fried.

- I like that one better - ooch - though if that were true, not only is she being abused, you'd just called an idiot how insensitive

keep your name 'Marko' though - people will think you work in a Pizza shop with me

Do you not go to ER anymore Marko? - do you not miss the vibe, and that buzz when they come out of the tunnel, even now I get a tingle down my spine.

I don't feel that vibe at the moment Tuscany. Division amongst the fans, that feeling that I'm getting given mediocrity. I want to see the team perform well on a regular basis, and if they aren't I want to be paying less for it. There's no extras or freebies to make up for the pathetic excuse for football we're getting, to keep us coming. Just "pay your money and be grateful your club still exists". That has a serious detrimental effect on my enjoyment of football. The last 3 home games I've been to have been losses, 2 of those were terrible performances. The 7 home games I've been to this season, we've lost 4 (including 2 absolute hammerings) and drawn 1 where we threw away the points in the last couple of minutes. The life has been sucked out of Elland Road for me to the point where there that vibe is no longer there. I am not enjoying going to matches any more, that sense of all pulling in the same direction has vanished.
