I miss some of the great posters of the old 606, and since I see a revival of some past glories coming on here, I would like to make an official invitation to my favourite one and a true legend of the tennis forums: Wooffie.
Please come back, I miss you much big babe!
Wooffie please do come back!

Our club's draw,

When do those club draws happen?
I was thinking of going to my local club and leaving a note on the notice board if anyone wants to sell their tickets.
I really don't fancy spending 10 hours in the queue, although it probably can be fun if you are surrounded by (real) tennis fans.
If I don't get a ticket beforehand, I may just turn up and offer some money to those at the front of the queue.
Last year I got an impression 80% in that queue didn't even know what they were doing there

Ours is this Tuesday I believe. Unfortunately they are not resellable in theory so your club might not accept your offer in teh noticeboard.
It is certainly worth trying your chance there. I know you had a bad experience last year but you can have good ones too like I had.

I'll try my luck there, anyway.
I really enjoyed myself those few hours I was there, but was so overwhelmed, I was literally choking, it was mad.
Because of that, I couldn't properly relax and see everything I wanted to, mind, you there wasn't a lot else to see, some wheelchair tennis, not my cup of tea.
After what happened last year, I have lost the desire to see the finals, last year's one was the one that meant the world to me.
Now, I just want to go there on a lovely sunny day, take my picnic rug, book and just loiter around meeting people and soak up as much as I can.

Every time I see crowd being interviewed around the grounds and Henman Hill, I want to be there.
I met some rally cool and funny Fed fans on the underground going there last year, a Mexican dad and his daughter, we took photos together, just been exchanging emails with them. The pair of them attended ALL slams last year and saw all matches from quarters to finals (had debenture tickets for Wimbledon).
The guy was soo in love with Fed, he was devastaded he had lost to Tsonga, you should've seen hes face as he was asking the : Who is Tson-ga? in this heart-broken half-angry tone with his eyes gazing into distance back into his match memory.
Absolutely priceless.

Was that the day Federer lost? I believe you were there for the final right?
Yes, I was so upset Federer lost to my compatriot too. Especially knowing that JW was unlikely to go all teh way.
