Mir was on the verge of being knocked out by Big Nog and JDS power and boxing is far superior to Big Nog's.

The thing is, he has to get it to the ground to stand any chance of winning. Remember it was Big Nog who took Mir down, but you can bet tooth and nail that JDS will do everything he can to keep the fight standing.
Mir's wrestling isnt great afterall. He couldnt take Cro Crop down when they fought a few months back.
