As ever a well written thought provoking piece.
Keep up the good work cider.

Couldn't agree more with most of the article in fact said much the same recently, with a couple of exceptions (a) I don't think Fontaine is the future for Bristol City he doesn't have what it takes to replace Carey this season he has been captain for long periods and admittedly stepped up for a while then went back into his shell and played like he had for years. Bikey, McManus or someone of that type is desperately required and of Fontaine and Nyatanga, who are so similar, I would prefer Nya if only because he is younger. Left Back has been a weakness for years GJ thought he had sorted that when he signed Blackman only to find Mr Blackman was too much of an idiot to be kept at the club.
Hogan could be a great player for us if we could sign him but he will almost certainly be returning to QPR.

Cheers both - Hawk can understand the view on Fonts but personally I think he's good enough but needs a strong partner, like Bikey or McManus. All about opinions though!
The LB position was alluded to in the Evening Post article I linked so didn't dwell on it, but yes - it's quite incredible how four manager's now have left it fairly unattended. Can't see Del Boy staying quiet there in the summer.
Haven't seen enough of Ephraim to judge but does feel like the sort of player we need, let's see what the summer brings!
